Immersed in the well-heeled bustle of Duke of York Square, POLPO Chelsea serves rustic Venetian cuisine. Offsetting the cosy dining room with its bare brickwork and naked lightbulbs, there is an expansive parasol-covered al fresco area.

Reminiscent of Venice’s charming backstreet restaurants, POLPO specialises in Venetian small plates and spritz. Hand-rolled meatballs, freshly-stretched pizzettes and fresh colourful salads head up the menu. The main menu varies with the seasons and favourite creations include cuttlefish & squid ink risotto with gremolata, roast stuffed pork, lentils & radicchio and crab & chilli linguine. For dessert, choose from a variety of classics, such as tiramisu or Venetian ricotta doughnuts with cinnamon sugar.

In addition to the main menu, POLPO Chelsea offers daily changing specials to look out for on the blackboard. Aperitivo Time takes place every day from 4-6pm. Sip on a refreshing Spritz and enjoy some delicious bar snacks like black truffle crisps & Bella di Cerignola olives, for just £5.

POLPO in Chelsea also serves an artisan brunch menu, with breakfast cocktails, pastries and fresh juices served alongside dishes like nutritious scafata with poached eggs, and sourdough with wild garlic, mushrooms and ricotta. Accompanying a selective wine list is a list of classic POLPO cocktails.

Bringing the charm of Venice to London, POLPO restaurant is a 3-minute walk from Sloane Square Tube Station.

Simply stunning food, difficult to choose a favourite. Loved the fritto misto, the Venetian meatballs, Arancini. Lovely staff, nothing too much trouble. Can't wait to go back.

The spinach and check pea balls were really good. Traditional meatballs and with fennel ok. The sphagetti with cheese was delicious although extremelyyyyyy cheesy. Arrancini delicious.
But quite disappointed with prawns, didn't expect it with shell, should specify on the menu.
The bruschetta with prosciutto was good but the bread was so chewy, neither crusty nor soft, couldn't cut it.
    The Bianca was tasteless.
All in all wasn't very impressed.

The food at Polpo is always good and they have a nice wine list. This branch is in a really great setting - you can sit outside and watch the world go by without being on a street with cars. Visited on one of the Chelsea Flower Show days - the restaurant was very busy. The staff were nice and hardworking but the restaurant was seriously understaffed (or the staff were not trained in how to deal with a 'rush'). This resulted in long waits for drinks to be brought - meaning that since we were drinking wine by the galss to match the different foods we were eating we had to put out forks down to wait for the wine to arrive - soemtimes for up to 20 minutes. This was a bit annoying for us - but also added the the problem the restaurant had with trying to get the ques down.
