Following the success of the acclaimed POLPO restaurants, Russell Norman brings Bib Gourmand-winning Polpetto to Berwick Street. Signature Venetian small plates are served in a laidback setting, in front of an open kitchen.

Reminiscent of Venice’s charming backstreet restaurants, Polpetto specialises in Italian small plates and signature spritzers. Hand-rolled meatballs, freshly-stretched pizzettes and colourful salads head up the Polpetto menu, and favourite creations include chicken and wild mushroom tagliatelle, or flank steak with roasted red pepper and feta. For dessert, culinary innovations include semifreddo with orange and honeycomb, or poached rhubarb with meringue.

Polpetto in Soho also serves an artisan brunch menu, with breakfast cocktails, pastries and fresh juices served alongside dishes like nutritious scafata with poached eggs, and sourdough with wild garlic, mushrooms and ricotta. Accompanying a selective wine list is a list of classic Polpetto cocktails.

Bringing Italian charm to London, Polpetto Soho sits a short walk from Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road Tube stations.

Ambience was very good (although music could be a little bit quieter, or calmer). Food was very good (although not as amazing as some other times), and service was exceptionally friendly, but not very efficient( a main was forgotten, as some of the drink which we had to repeatedly order, and the bill was incorrect - in our favor, but that doesn't matter, and it was only amended after pointing the several items wrong out.

Exquisite little place with a great buzzy atmosphere but not in your face. Service was impeccable and the cocktails lush food was to die for..The Rump steak was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

1st time in Polpetto and it was a perfect choice for an omnivore & his vegetarian sister to be able to choose equally from a great menu. Highlights were the gorgonzola gnocchi and the octopus skewer although the mackerel was also lovely. Decent wine list & fairly good value overall (for this part of the world anyway). I'd come again. And will.

The service was terrible on the evening that we visited, which is such a shame as we love the Polpo brand and visit frequently. We had a different waiter each time (there was no consistency) and multiple waiters asking us the same questions. We were asked whether we'd like to order drinks 5 times within the first 10 minutes, and we'd already ordered drinks before we were seated at the bar! When the food arrived it was also lukewarm. I will definitely be sticking to Polpo on Beak Street from now on, rather than Polpetto.

Booked a table on a Thursday evening a few weeks ago for 8:30, we thought we would arrive at 8 for a drink before dinner. Upon arrival we were informed our table would not be ready until 9:30. We were given complimentary starters and drinks whilst we waited which were appreciated, although we had to sit outside which got quit cold. Dinner and service once we were sitted were very good, and would defintely recommend, but you do not expect to have to wait for an hour for a table you have booked.
