Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Relaxed, gastro-pub type vibe. Great (if slightly lethal) cocktails. I'd definitely go again as I wanted to order everything on the menu.

A London pub with a difference, Plaquemine Lock boasts a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and offers a true taste of the American South. Cajun and creole-style dishes from Louisiana are served in a colourful setting, with hand-drawn murals over the bar that celebrate bayou life.

Authentic Cajun flavours on the Plaquemine Lock feature house specialities like oysters and boiled crayfish, served with traditional sides like grits and tomato gravy. There are aromatic gumbos, buckets of fried chicken with American biscuits, and the crowd-pleasing po'boy sandwiches filled with blackened chicken, slow-roast beef, and soft shell crab.

Pecan pie with cane sugar ice cream is a great way to end a meal at Plaquemine Lock in North London, while the bar serves up British and American beers, as well as Louisiana-themed cocktails made with imported bourbons and rums.

A unique London restaurant that treats diners to a true taste of Louisiana, Plaquemine Lock is a 7-minute walk from Angel Tube Station.

Great atmosphere, beautiful location, good food! Our food was a little slow to come but we got free shots :). The staff was friendly and funny. Will come back!

Food was superb, my husband and I love creole/cajun food, and this met and exceeded our expectations. it's a laid back atmosphere but still very welcoming - a good selection of craft beers and cocktails. We're looking forward to coming back soon!

The place will only benefit if it broke away from the English pub tradition where you have to order at the bar. Taking once order at the table will not change operations much, but will make a big difference to the customers.

    Great Cajun cooking, impressive service.

Surprised by venue, just a local neighbourhood pub. Almost empty but you have to order food at the bar. The sours are fabulous, had 3.
We tried the oysters, disappointing. Thought the fried aubergine sounded interesting but it was breadcrumbed and beige although with a spicy sauce. We enjoyed a cup of gumbo although 1 between 2 would be enough.
The blackened chicken was very dry, and did not taste freshly cooked.
Overall, staff and sours fabulous, food unfortunately disappointing . The whole experience was just a bit off.

Best Louisiana food I have had outside that beautiful state. Lovely warm atmosphere and super friendly attentive service. Crab cakes were so good we had to order more. Will be going back to enjoy with live jazz.

Location is great , the welcome even better and the food was amazing. The staff were very accommodating and I can’t wait to return. This was our first visit, meeting. Friend who lives nearby along with other friends visiting London. Love it

My Redfish court-boullion was delicious and I sampled everyone else's dish. They were all great. Fried chicken was so crunchy. Staff was lovely.
I need to come back and try their cocktails!
