Reflecting owner Brian Stein’s love of polo, PJ’s Bar and Grill in Chelsea serves a European menu amongst an evocative array of sporting and historical memorabilia. Sizzling Scottish steaks are just part of the offer, with dinner enhanced by global wines, vibrant cocktails and the generous PJ’s Champagne Hour.

A Chelsea social hub since 1990, PJ’s Bar and Grill old-school interior is dominated by a beautiful wooden aeroplane propeller suspended centre-stage. Enjoy relaxed surroundings and try roast pumpkin risotto, seafood linguine or a luxurious bagel topped with scrambled egg and black truffle.

Grilled to order, aged steaks are a hallmark of the PJ’s Bar and Grill menu, while twice baked goat’s cheese soufflé and ballotine of foie gras make decadent alternatives. The European theme runs through an indulgent dessert list with chocolate fondant and crème brulée.

Impressive feature beers, continental cocktails and fine vintage wines accompany PJ’s menu of fine, gastropub cuisine. Hosting regular polo-themed events, PJ’s Bar and Grill restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from South Kensington Tube Station.

The most pleasant dining surprise we have had in a long time. All four of us thought that every course was a delight. A very attentive Maitre D' and charming service in relaxed surroundings. The star deal was great value. Having lost Le Brasserie as our all purpose dining option in Chelsea, I think we have found a perfect replacement. Compliments to the whole team.

Excellent service! Could not have been more attentive. Burratina was excellent as was the soufflé. We all had steaks and a couple were not quite right. The chef insisted they should be changed and he provided new delicious ones very quickly! Top marks. Thank you all for a very enjoyable evening.

Three course set menu with a welcome cocktail. Good quality food from start to finish although my squid and chilli starter was extremely salty and I couldn't eat it. However the ribeye steak and chips were good and the white chocolate cheesecake with a blood orange sorbet was delicious. Service was good too.

We were on a Bookatable Star Deal. The food was good; the service prompt and friendly. For our starters we had squid and fish soufflé- both very nice. Mains: steak tartare and truffle/pumpkin risotto. The risotto was a bit bland but otherwise good. Tartare very good. Our desserts, treacle tart and caramel crème brulee, were very good. Only complaints: table too dark, with only one little light. It was too dark for me to read the menu. The cocktail that came with the menu was a bellini, which I usually love, but this one was a bit too sweet for me. But we liked our experience and would definitely go back.
