For authentic Chinese cuisine in the city, Ping Pong Soho is dim sum heaven a stone’s throw from Oxford Street, London. Lamp-lit dark wood tables sweep through the funky interior, with the Ping Pong cocktail bar mixologists always on hand with a Martini or two.
Offering a wide range of Asian treats, the sleek Ping Pong restaurants pay homage to the ancient traditions of Chinese tea houses. With a big choice of dumplings and steamed buns, the Ping Pong menu also offers an array of fragrant Chinese soups and rice pots.
There are plenty of familiar Chinese delicacies, with spring rolls, prawn toasts and honey-glazed spare ribs. Finish with a lively Ping Pong cocktail or soothing Oriental tea.
Menus are regularly updated with new, seasonal specials. Close to trendy Carnaby Street, Ping Pong Soho is a 4-minute walk from Oxford Circus Tube Station.

Dim Sum was bland, chili oil had no taste either, new coconut dessert was weird. Service was also quite poor, our waitress seems like she was in a hurry and annoyed whenever she had to take an order or answer questions. She wasn’t friendly at all, not even once the whole time we were there. When I asked her which cocktail was recommended, she shrugged it off and just said she had no clue. We were told that we would all get red envelopes as well since we dined there during their Chinese New Year celebrations but we didn’t get any. Again this made me think the waitress just wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible.
Overall we chose to dine there because we thought Chinatown would be too crowded for CNY but with the price of the food, quality of the service and taste, we definitely regret spending our money and time there. Very disappointed, will not be coming back. -

Great dining experience. Great food. My favorite dishes are Prawn Crackers, Chicken and Cashew dumplings, Char Sui Bun, Mochi and plenty others on the menu. I found some of the things that were on the menu missing than previous times which was disappointing, however we still had a great time.

Food was basic if not mediocre. But the service was absolutely wonderful and the staff and ambience make up for the lacklustre food.

Ping Pong Soho is a great place for a fun meal, especially with a group so you can order plenty of different dishes to experience lots of flavours and textures. Prices are high for the quantity of food provided so big appetites may not feel satisfied. Drinks (choice and price) are what you would expect from a London Soho restaurant; I particularly enjoyed the lychee martini. Soft shell crab was my favourite dish; however £13 for one small crab was a bit expensive.
