Boasting outdoor seating with sea views, Pho Brighton serves traditional Vietnamese dishes from its central open kitchen.

Vietnam’s national dish, pho noodle soups are undoubtedly a speciality. Elsewhere on the Pho menu, discover bun noodles with lemongrass and chilli, mildly spiced curries with fragrant rice, or the tiger prawn stir fry in a sweet ginger sauce. For a lighter bite, flavour-packed dishes include the spicy green mango salad topped with pork, dried shrimps and peanuts.

For dessert, savour the likes of decadent chocolate truffles, banana fritters, or rich ice creams and refreshing sorbets. Top off a meal at Pho restaurant with a Vietnamese beer, or choose from a number of quality wines chosen to match the food.

A pebble’s throw from the beach, Pho Brighton is a 15-minute walk from Brighton Rail Station.

The good points were really good food, outstanding value, close to the sea-front and very polite staff. The less good points were very slow service and the repeating bass notes in the music were not to our taste.

Food was good as always although we tried Pho Xao for the first time and it was a little bland. Service started well but as the restaurant became quiet staff became very inattentive, chatting and not paying attention to us when we wanted something.

The restaurant and food are always lovely. The night we went was good but the waiting staff were disorganised, my pregnant so ordered Fanta but the waitress ordered mojito for her (not good ordering alcohol for a pregnant lady). We Sat for 20 mins waiting to order and had to stop a waiter to ask to order. We had starters and before we had even finished they were walking over with mains, then realised and walked back to the kitchen with them until we had literally just put our cutlery down and the mains were on the table. Went to eat one of the main courses ordered and it was the wrong meat inside. Told the waiter and had a further 15 minute wait for the dish to arrive. Normally it's is lovely service but this time felt like we were being rushed to get out as quickly as possible. Wouldn't have been so bad but we had booked and they seemed to be desperate for seats to deal with walk ins, while the back of the restaurant seemed to be blocked off. We were on our first date night away from the kids in 5 months, and first one since we got married so put a bit of a downer on the night as ended up leaving quicker as felt in the way

Excellent location in the Lanes. Sensibly priced with a good weekday lunchtime fixed price option. Top notch Vietnamese street food.

Staff all very friendly, talkative and approachable. First time I've been to Pho and will definitely go again. My partner likes his spice whereas I like it very mild. They easily accommodated both of our tastes.
