Restaurant description

Found within a London hotel that dates back as far as 1836, Petrichor at The Cavendish London serves contemporary British cuisine and a great value pre-theatre menu. Overlooking the exclusive boutiques and galleries of Jermyn Street, St. James's and Piccadilly, Petrichor is found on the 1st floor of the Cavendish London hotel.

Championing a commitment to serving premium ingredients, Petrichor London sources from local farmers and producers to create monthly-changing menus of delicious modern British cuisine. Head Chef Nitin Pawar blends hearty, home-cooked flavours and unique culinary flair, with Petrichor menu favourites including rich pigeon and venison terrine with elderflower jelly, or sustainable fish pie with smoked cod loin, shrimps and boiled quail eggs.

Rich, autumnal flavours for dessert include panettone bread & butter pudding with drambuie custard, or mulled wine-poached pear with cinnamon mascarpone. An accomplished wine list at Petrichor Green Park showcases fine vintages, alongside an exclusive selection from the Chapel Down winery in Kent.

I took my parents for afternoon tea here on Sunday, and it was a lovely occasion. The staff were very welcoming, and they were extremely attentive filling up our prosecco and bringing more tea. The food was delicious and we had a lovely view by the window. We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful setting, had a window seat so could see the street below and the Christmas lights. The prosecco was beautiful, light and slightly sweet. Favourite dish was the barbecued makeral. Dessert was great too, chocolate mousse was phenomenal as it came with a raspberry sorbet, but my partner has a cheese board which was almost as good.
