We had a wonderful experience from start to finish...can’t fault it at all. We had booked for afternoon tea.

Found within a London hotel that dates back as far as 1836, Petrichor at The Cavendish London serves contemporary British cuisine and a great value pre-theatre menu. Overlooking the exclusive boutiques and galleries of Jermyn Street, St. James's and Piccadilly, Petrichor is found on the 1st floor of the Cavendish London hotel.

Championing a commitment to serving premium ingredients, Petrichor London sources from local farmers and producers to create monthly-changing menus of delicious modern British cuisine. Tasty, beautiful presented food. We were on the free flowing prosecco deal and couldn’t fault a thing. The service was attentive and friendly. The food delicious. Would highly recommend.

Although the food was very nice, the atmosphere was unfortunately very corporate! There weren’t many people in the restaurant and it felt a bit ordinary.

We had the pre-theatre menu which catered for every taste. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and the size of the portions perfect. The beetroot salad was refreshing, tasty and much enjoyed by all.
We were given a corner table, quieter than the rest of the restaurant, which suited us perfectly as we were meeting friends and wanted to be able to talk.
It surprised us to see how the restaurant was much more noisy than usual.

The staff were outstanding, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Such a lovely way to spend an afternoon

We had booked pre theatre dining and on arrival were welcomed and shown to a window seat by a friendly waiter.
My husband started with the cured sea trout and followed with stuffed chicken breast and truffle mousse. I had heritage grown beetroot salad followed with pan fried Hake fish fillet. We shared baked Alaska for dessert. Our chosen wines complemented our meal. Beautifully presented with subtle flavours together with professional, friendly staff made this a special dining experience.

Lovely afternoon tea! The sausage roll and quiche were amazing, not to mention the constant top up of Prosecco. The staff were so accommodating, especially as we had my 5yr old cousin - which they did a fabulous kids menu afternoon tea with a grilled cheese sandwich for her.
Would definitely go again, and recommend as a low key and tasty afternoon tea spot.
