Well served and delicious dinner. Couldn’t find any fault and service was impeccable. Asked for more vegetables, which came promptly and hot.

Found within a London hotel that dates back as far as 1836, Petrichor at The Cavendish London serves contemporary British cuisine and a great value pre-theatre menu. Overlooking the exclusive boutiques and galleries of Jermyn Street, St. James's and Piccadilly, Petrichor is found on the 1st floor of the Cavendish London hotel.

Championing a commitment to serving premium ingredients, Petrichor London sources from local farmers and producers to create monthly-changing menus of delicious modern British cuisine. Head Chef Nitin Pawar blends hearty, home-cooked flavours and unique culinary flair, with Petrichor menu favourites including rich pigeon and venison terrine with elderflower jelly, or sustainable fish pie with smoked cod loin, shrimps and boiled quail eggs.

Rich, autumnal flavours for dessert include panettone bread & butter pudding with drambuie custard, or mulled wine-poached pear with cinnamon mascarpone. An accomplished wine list at Petrichor Green Park showcases fine vintages, alongside an exclusive selection from the Chapel Down winery in Kent.

Capturing the essence of nature through the setting and cuisine, Petrichor restaurant is set in the deluxe surroundings of The Cavenish Hotel. Green Park Tube Station is a 5-minute walk away.

the food for the afternoon tea was faultless, a little bit different to most, ie the savoury options and the free flowing bubbles was very attentive. however the atmosphere in the lounge was soul less so I doubt I would return.

The service was excellent and the food was exceptionally good! My partner and I regularly go for afternoon teas around London and the food at Petrichor was by far the best we have experienced. We went for one duke and one duchess and the food was very fresh, with some nice original touches such as the cheese toasties, quiches and the hake. The scones were divine - crisp on the outside and light and soft on the inside, and we even enjoyed all of the cakes (we’re not usually so sweet toothed!). The brownies in particularly were to die for!

Delicious afternoon tea; fitted in well before a theatre booking. Staff very attentive and friendly, ambience great but not many other people. Hotel easy to find and restaurant access straight forward and well signposted. Good value.

As usual, the food was excellent and the service very good and friendly. We were well looked after by Ludmilla and Amanda. Petrichor, being in the heart of London, is very convenient and offers a relaxed, spacious, comfortable and refined venue. The set menu offers reasonable value.

We stayed at the Cavendish Hotel and were delighted that we decided to dine at the Petrichor - The 8oz steak was delicious - The waiters could not do enough for us and made our visit to London a memorable one. We will definitely stay at the Cavendish again.

Lovely food, different to the usual afternoon tea, particularly liked the warn mini quiche & Ham & cheese toastie
    Cakes & scones were all
Very nice too, all food was lovely & fresh.
Staff were very nice but a little slow refilling our bottomless prosecco & Had to ask for more tea too! Was nice place but restaurant lacked ambience, was very quiet! However I would recommend it as we had a nice afternoon & price was very good at £32.50 ... (service charge on top of that)
