Found within a London hotel that dates back as far as 1836, Petrichor at The Cavendish London serves contemporary British cuisine and a great value pre-theatre menu. Overlooking the exclusive boutiques and galleries of Jermyn Street, St. James's and Piccadilly, Petrichor is found on the 1st floor of the Cavendish London hotel.

Championing a commitment to serving premium ingredients, Petrichor London sources from local farmers and producers to create monthly-changing menus of delicious modern British cuisine. Head Chef Glen Padiyar blends hearty, home-cooked flavours and unique culinary flair, with Petrichor menu favourites including rich pigeon and venison terrine with elderflower jelly, or sustainable fish pie with smoked cod loin, shrimps and boiled quail eggs.

Rich, autumnal flavours for dessert include panettone bread & butter pudding with drambuie custard, or mulled wine-poached pear with cinnamon mascarpone. An accomplished wine list at Petrichor Green Park showcases fine vintages, alongside an exclusive selection from the Chapel Down winery in Kent.

Capturing the essence of nature through the setting and cuisine, Petrichor restaurant is set in the deluxe surroundings of The Cavenish Hotel. Green Park Tube Station is a 5-minute walk away.

It is a while since we last ate at Petrichor but the R.A, Summer Exhibtion was a good excuse to re-acquaint ourselves. We took a friend and all had a really worthwhile and tasty meal from the Modern styled cooking Express Menu. At £24 great value. The restaurant, on the fist floor of the Cavendish Hotel in Jermyn Street, is quiet and formal - no noisy clatter from other diners. The service was friendly and attentive. Altogether a pleasing experience.

A really excellent lunch venue. I had a review meeting with two consultants for them to feedback sme findings and we had limited time. The ambience was sufficiently discreet for us to conduct our discussions without impinging on other diners. The food was excellent and in particular, the raspberry and chocolate dessert was sublime. I would also make particular positive comment on our table host, Venetia who was absolutely charming and looked after us very well. Thank you!!

Very attentive service, good food only spoilt by the rhubarb - very tough and stringy - under poached,

Very disappointing. We had spare rib. 2 small pieces of spare rib in a plate. One piece was all fat! Presentation was nice but the meal was tasteless. Also expensive for what we got. So many good restaurants in London - what a pity.

Great sandwiches and cakes. Scone good flavour but a bit 'heavy/stodgy' in my opinion, however it doesn't put me off from going again! Great coffee too!

Love to the space and the location. The food was delicious. I was there for afternoon tea. The China and teapot could be updated. Teapot was metal. Offered a tea bag, not loose leaf. No tea selections. Only one scone, that looksed like it was made in a muffin tin, not the right texture and consistency of proper scone, however, it was served warm. All of the food was fanatic, innovative, could easily compete with F&M, Wolsley, Ritz, the China, tea and teapot detracted from the Elegance of the food. Service was excellent. Space could be a bit more intimate, like bar area,. Would rate as excellant.
