My boyfriend and I ate at Penang this week using their 3-4-2 offer and had a lovely evening. We're big fans of Malaysian food and Penang didn't disappoint. We particularly enjoyed the roti canai with curry sauce (a personal favourite of mine when in Malaysia!) and their cocktails. The salads are incredible, too - really well-balanced flavours. We also liked the menus printed on old record sleeves, really fun. Will definitely come here again.

My friend and I came across this place while out shopping. We were looking for some lunch and Penang! looked a bit different. I was not sure what to expect as I had not eaten Malaysian food before, but my friend had been there on a gap year and said I would love it. She wasn't wrong! I thought the food was fab. I had the duck bun, which I could have eaten four or five of, a great mango salad the chicken curry and a roti. It was all excellent. And our waitress was really helpful and smilie. I could not fault it really. I will make a point of going to Westfield to shop again soon so I can go back.

We have just come back from Malaysia where we loved the food. Even though we had to queue it was worth the wait. The mama zuhri chicken and beef rendang were both excellent. Roti's too were really crispy and great with mama zuhri. I could have eaten a lot more and will be back when I need my next shopping/food fix!

Thurs 27th @ 9pm seated not far from the door even though place was not full and there were plenty of seats available. Took ages to take order. plates, cutlery etc clanging and being dropped by waiting staff four times within an hour, glass broken just by our feet and another table so disatisfied with the service and meal walked out refusing to pay for what they had. Part of the problem i felt was the staff were way too young and inexperienced in the sevice industy, although no excuse if they were trained well. The staff seemed to have no passion or interest in food or the customer which was a shame to witness.Too much comotion for what was supposed to be a nice evening eating with a friend. This took away from the fact some of the dishes we had ie Kari Kambling (lamb curry) and Roti Canai (soft bread), Salt and chilli squid, nasi goreng were lovely (even though not at all authentic to Malaysian cuisine) but the prices dont match up. [$]. Im half Malaysian Indian so know how this cuisine should taste and this was not an experience id wish to repeat. Sorry
