I had the champagne afternoon tea, which was fantastic. Tea, champagne, sandwiches, cakes and scones were all the best and plenty of them!

We love coming here for afternoon tea... This is our second time. The quality of the sandwiches and cakes is excellent and the servings are generous. Nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly staff. I have recommended to friends and will no doubt return for my own birthday.

It did not look like they expected us although there was a reservation. We needed to ask how it worked because no instructions were offered. We then waited for about 45 minutes for our tower with goodies which I think only arrived because we asked what was going on. The second dish with sandwiches was luckily much quicker. Overall I would say not worth the money.

One of the worst (and over priced) meals I've ever had. Ordered chicken curry. Onion baaji was so salty it was inedible, rice cold and wet, curry lumps of chicken with a little bit of sauce. Wife's lamb dish was better but very small. When I complained about baaji there was not response from waiter. Staff seemed bored and tired.

We had a truly memorable afternoon tea. The service was truly wonderful.....attentive, discreet and human. It was a special treat for my very ill sister and lived up the expectation. All food and drink was lovely my favourite was the exquisite little fruit tart...or was it the mini mille feuille? Although the scones were lovely. The China is gorgeous, the surroundings civilised but comfy and the sky outside was a wonderful colour ( OK, not down to the hotel!) I will remember it forever. Many thanks to the lovely staff.

Overall a bit disappointing. They had lost our reservation but offered to fix it but then we waited 1,5 hour for our afternoon tea. Tasty and delicious once it arrived but overall couldn’t compensate the wait.
