The food at Peekamoose is always exceptional. The menu is limited, but what they offer is predictably spot on. I recently ordered the short ribs and they were very well prepared.

Fantastic food in a lovely setting. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. One of the best restaurants in the Catskills.

The restaurant seems to receive high praise from most visitors, which is understandable, given some of the dishes we tried. But given the high prices, I'm not sure it's truly worth the money. The baked cod was beautifully cooked, potatoes were excellent, and the peach tart with homemade ice cream was truly outstanding. But the 12 ingredient salad nothing special, desperately needed a better dressing. The homemade loaf of bread, while warm and crusty, was bland, interior surprisingly poor. Added to this is only fair service (wine came only after salad course was half done, a dirty knife cleaned from the table fell on my lap), and the decor is nothing special. The restaurant tries hard, has some excellent dishes, but I probably will not return.

We had a great evening there. The food was great, our French waitress wonderful. A little pricey for the location however. Will definitely return there!

Worst dining experience I've had in years. Food-Bland except for salt, OVERexpensive--avg price not as advertised, undrinkable water--blamed it on having to treat the water offered to let you buy drinkable. Environ-louder than a drunk filled bar. Service-OK until the waitress started working with a large group. I'll never go back and WILL tell others-sad given this is an area that depends on tourist trade.
