Voted in the Top 5 UK seafood restaurants in the discerning Observer Food Monthly, Pebble Beach offers deliciously fresh catches and classic European main courses. From the sweeping al fresco terrace, look out onto truly unparalleled sea views.

Sourcing supreme local produce, Pierre Chevillard crafts an award-winning menu at Pebble Beach. Alongside lighter options and simple seafood dishes, favourites include sole & scallops with sautéed Mediterranean vegetables, or pork tenderloin with black pudding and rum-flamed apple.

Offsetting the delicate flavours of the seafood and fish, bold dessert creations at Pebble Beach restaurant include iced rhubarb and ginger nougat with almond Florentine, or bitter chocolate cake with salted butterscotch sauce. Indoors, a cool curved bar serves rich coffees, refreshing cocktails and an extensive complementing wine list compiled by the Pebble Beach sommelier.

Described as a ‘seaside Mecca’ by The Independent newspaper, Pebble Beach in Barton-on-Sea is a 15-minute drive from central Lymington.

On the plus side the patio offers unparelled views of the sea and Isle of Wight.

However, a premises which advertises on boards outside that it a hotel must surely explain how it is possible that a cooked breakfast is not available before 10:00? A premises which advertises that it a quality establishment must surely be questioned when it offers residents (who have paid £100 a night) continental breakfast consisting of a single plate of food kept refridgerated overnight in your room?
Piped French radio music from the eighties in the dining room?

What was worst though, despite offering a replacement, was serving diseased black potatoes which I had to send back. And I had to ask for the bill to be amended accordingly. Disastrous from beginning to end.
