We had a pleasant evening at the Pearl Liang. The service was attentive and very friendly, the food excellent. We closed the dinner with a Puh-Er-Tea. The tea selection was also very good.

The service was impeccable, even though we were late. Staff we're very patient and made my mother's birthday dinner a night to remember.

Nice food, restaurant somewhat cold, food temperature poor. Cold plates no heated units to keep hot. Attentive service

I hadn't been to Pearl Liang for several years and wondered if the high standards would have been maintained but I was not disappointed. The restaurant is quite large with a bar near the entrance leading to a number of ensuite rooms with a good mixture of large tables and more secluded side tables for couples and single diners. The decor is modern, sophisticated and Chinese-influenced (not surprisingly!). We went at lunchtime and had a selection of dim sum. Everything was good and some items were outstanding, e.g. the sticky rice with cured meat in lotus leaves and the turnip cake. All the dishes we tried compared well with Royal China on Queensway, where I usually go; Pearl Liang's dim sum were somewhat more refined and less oily. Pricewise, it was similar. The only dish I did not think was quite as good as the Royal China's was the honey roast pork buns (char siu buns) - the filling was not as succulent. The service was attentive and flawless, with our tea being replenished constantly and topped up with hot water without us having to ask. I shall definitely be going back, and hope to try the barbecued duck from the evening menu again, which was delicious.

The food was as good as usual and the service attentive. My friend is gluten-intolerant and the staff spent a lot of time going through the menu to find suitable dishes
