Dating back to the 19th century, Peacock is a wonderfully inviting British countryside pub that features rustic touches like exposed brick walls, crackling log fires, and plush furnishings. As well as its irresistible menu of British favourites, there is a tranquil garden area that is perfect for summertime dining, or romantic drinks in the evening.
A tremendous selection of British and international flavours on the Peacock menu makes this a versatile dining spot. Rustic sharers include box-baked camembert topped with cider-soaked raisins and served with fresh bread, while vintage classics can be found on the mains list, with beer battered cod served with triple-cooked chips and mushy peas. Stone-baked pizzas feature gourmet toppings like cured continental meats with caramelised onion chutney, and on Sundays there are indulgent roasts served with all the trimmings.
Desserts at Peacock in Nantwich are truly indulgent, and include chocolately ale cake served with a shandy-beer sorbet, and a popular crumble of the day with custard. To drink, there are cask ales, classic tipples like G&Ts, as well as ciders, craft beers, and fine wines.
With its crackling log fires and inviting countryside feel, Peacock is the perfect setting for long, lazy meals. Nantwich Rail Station is a 5-minute drive away.

Eat here quite often, as it is mid way for myself in Wales and friends in Stoke-on-Trent. I have to say that the food is getting a little predictable now. Good value, but a little disappointing. My friend had fish & chips and the fish was all batter. I had fishcakes with boiled potatoes. Potatoes served in a dish and I emptied onto my plate which was then swimming with water from the potatoes.

Food was good with waitresses that were attentive without being overbearing. Nice relaxed atmosphere and an enjoyable experience

Best feature was the staff. We arrived early to meet family from different parts of the country. The lady on the bar when we arrived at 4pm was extremely helpful and most important HAPPY AND SMILING. The staff serving at table were also extremely good. - No one commented on the food so it must have good. - The only observation I would make was that several menu items were not available and it frustratingly happened to the same person each time. He did remark that it was his unlucky day.
