Afternoon Tea wasn't the best. Tea was cold by the time sandwiches arrived. Overall a disappointing experience.

I found the experience to be poor , very busy and although I had booked afternoon tea as a present for my 11 year old daughter , I waited to be seated with staff passing me 5 or 6 times with no acknowledgement that I was there . I eventually had to call over to someone . One of the cakes arrived broken and I felt the selection was poor , considering I have bought cakes from here numerous times before and that are delicious . For £28 pounds afternoon tea , I was very disappointed with the service and the quality . The staff were far too busy to make our experience memorable .

The food was lovely but the service was unbelievably slow. I had pre-booked an afternoon tea for 3pm. I had to ask two passing waiters to take our order for drinks( tea or coffee) after we were shown to our reserved table and no one came back. We only got served our food at 3.45 after I complained to the manageress. This was booked as a birthday treat for my mum and I was embarrassed and disappointed.

I actually gave this as a gift to my daughter and her partner, but they report back that they had a lovely time. There was a good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes, and as many refills of tea and coffee as you wanted. The macaroons (gift bag) were also delicious. Their only complaint was that they would have liked to sit outside but, as it was a nice sunny day, all the outside tables were taken. Glasgow you have to get it while you can!
