We had the afternoon tea (good value). Finger sandwiches, two scones each and a selection of cakes. It was really nice and filling. We had to box up some of the cakes. We sat in a booth which was nice. The hot chocolate was lush also. I would definitely go back again.

I used to work in catering so you must realise that I can be picky. Overal I had a lovely time and really enjoyed it. It just could have been a little better. We arrived and everything was fine. We were asked what we wanted, I don't think they ahd read what I put on the booking form but we got it all ordered. Two lots of tea arrived and then there was a long gap until the other drinks followed. Then we waited again for the food. The food was a bit muddled. One person had asked for no butter on her sandwiches and was told it was one stand and then another person came and said it was a different one and the other people had started that stand. We were also given a plate withe 4 mince pies on and told they were for the stands that were missing them but they hadn't actually arrived at that point. One of the stands had dowble the quiches on it and another none at all so we were swapping things around which shouldn't have bee for us to do. One set of jams was all marmalade for a festive tea.

No-one asked us if everything was OK and if we needed anythign else so we had to call people over for glasses ao water.

One of our party was a little difficult and I wanted to cringe so I can see if they thought we were a nuisance.

The food was really nice and I think it was very good value for money. We sat in a nice quiet part of the cafe as we were a group which was good for everyone. I loved the plates not being completely round but not odd looking like some of them can be. The tea served on a wooden platter was also very nice and personal. The Patisserie Valerie coasters under the tea cups are a lovely touch and the colour matching sugars and cake boxes are brilliant.

One of the party said it would have been nice to have a little background music as it was very quiet and they didn't feel very festive in the cafe. Maybe you could add one of those tiny crackers that go on trees to the stand as it is a festive tea to make it a bit more special.

Great service. Great afternoon tea loved the sandwiches and scones. Unlimited pot of tea was taken advantage of. Would definitely go back

Really good afternoon tea, however the location was rather basic - it felt like stepping back in time to a works cafe.

Nice on the whole. Service okay, waitress did not come and ask if all okay. Just the one pot of tea. Tasty but a little bit lacking. Would not have paid full price for what we had !!

Food was average, the afternoon tea had been prepared earlier and the sandwiches and scones were dry. Staff weren't overly enthusiastic and very slow when asking for more tea. I was also given a dirty cup...
