Beside the historic St Paul’s Cathedral and the setting for Channel 4's popular TV show, First Dates, Paternoster Chop House is a British restaurant at its traditional best. Fine rare-breed meats and fresh fish are served in elegant, modern surroundings, with al fresco dining and an inviting terrace.

Premium steaks are prepared using rare-breed beef, and there is a selection of spit-roast meats like wild boar. Fresh seafood at Paternoster Chop House London includes oysters served with cucumber Manzanilla and shallot vinegar, and vegetarian dishes are also available.
A Saturday brunch, Sunday lunch menu and bar snacks also feature at Paternoster Chop House St Paul’s, as well as rich desserts. A separate bar serves a selection of beers, world wines and cocktails – perfect for enjoying in the courtyard outside.

Excellent experience. We ordered the pink burger with triple cooked chips and mushrooms and it was very tasty. The rose wine was excellent nicest wine we have had all weekend. The staff were very attentive and made the whole experience very enjoyable.

It was ok Main was average & dessert was awful. I couldn’t get through the meringue in my Elton mess The chef agreed & I wasn’t charged for it

Had a lovely Saturday afternoon lunch. Food was delicious, staff helpful and friendly. The steak and ale pudding deserves a mention along with the chunky chips! Nice atmosphere in a great spot overlooking St Paul’s.

The bar area seems smaller than it appears of the television, and although not busy, we had to stand at the bar due to lack of seats. The food was served quickly, and was very tasty, the waiting crew were many and very attentive. As we were leaving I noticed the restaurant was filling up so maybe we were lucky in hat we caught them at a quiet time. There was just an ambiance (God I hate it when that word appears in a review) of quality, from the phone call 2 cays before to confirm the booking, the staff`s appearance, the quality of the food and that we were not constantly interrupted to try and sell us more wine, food etc. Overall a very pleasant experience, and one I would happily repeat. My other hate in reviews is giving something 5 stars, but on this occasion, I do so willingly.
