Beside the historic St Paul’s Cathedral and the setting for Channel 4's popular TV show, First Dates, Paternoster Chop House is a British restaurant at its traditional best. Fine rare-breed meats and fresh fish are served in elegant, modern surroundings, with al fresco dining and an inviting terrace.

Premium steaks are prepared using rare-breed beef, and there is a selection of spit-roast meats like wild boar. Fresh seafood at Paternoster Chop House London includes oysters served with cucumber Manzanilla and shallot vinegar, and vegetarian dishes are also available.

A Saturday brunch, Sunday lunch menu and bar snacks also feature at Paternoster Chop House St Paul’s, as well as rich desserts. A separate bar serves a selection of beers, world wines and cocktails – perfect for enjoying in the courtyard outside.

Considering the high profile of the restaurant the overall experience was pretty poor... the fact nearly £10 and a further £2.00 was added to my bill for service and charitable donation is a bit much. The service warranted no charge as all we had was food to our table and that’s it. Never asked how the food is, can I get you any drinks.. I had to physically ask someone. As well as the food being luke warm at best. And being charged for water when I simply asked for tap water which was just short of £5.00.

I feel this is defiantly a one off visit for me. As I find restaurants like the Harvester have better service then you do.

Not great this time which was a shame.
Pork Scratchings inedible and mains at best mediocre.

Excellent meal, service and setting. Staff extremely friendly and attentive, made to feel very welcome. The birthday treats with candle was a nice touch adding to the overall experience.

The food was superb and the serive was impeccable.
Our waitress, M, seemed to know when we were thinking about looking for her, and would appear as if by magic.
    A great dining experience overall.

The best Sunday roast in London. The onion and goats cheese soup is to die for. Not expensive at all. Well worth a visit. A few of the male waiters could up their game a bit but nothing to complain about.
