Food was excellent but the restaurant was quite noisy -- the music was really loud causing everyone to shout to be heard, which made the place even louder. I hope the restaurant would look into fixing this in the future.

Right beside Old Street roundabout, Passo is a stunning LA-style Italian eatery, serving polished modern recipes all through the day. A dramatic industrial-style interior includes an open kitchen with counter seating, there is a popular outdoor terrace, while live DJs start spinning from Thursday evening into the weekend.

The Passo menu starts off with breakfast and brunch, with options ranging from healthy granolas, through panettone French toast and the Shoreditch bagel plate. Later on, the a la carte menu offers up small plate dishes of beef and mortadella meatballs, moving on to pasta dishes like wild boar pappardelle, and hand-stretched pizzas.

Settle down at the chic cocktail bar at Passo in Old Street for signature negronis and mixes made with exotic ingredients like jalapeño-infused mezcal. There is also a polished wine list served that includes premium champagnes and prosecco.

Featuring stunning interior style and a chic LA feel, Passo is moments from Old Street Tube Station, and a short walk from the nightlife of Shoreditch.

Our dinner at Passo was lovely. The interiors are gorgeous; we were sat outside on the terrace which was a great way to spend the evening. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented, and the prices were very fair too. We had the burrata and meatballs to start, and the cod and parpadelle for main. The bottle of pinot grigio we had was delicious. The waitstaff were all very friendly and struck the right balance when it came to attentiveness. Would definitely return and think it is a great place for anything from a casual lunch or a group celebration to dining out for an occasion.

We were very disappointed by Passo. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful but the food is only average and the service was very poor. We waited a long time before being able to order, and then were told that the bottle of wine we ordered was unavailable. They asked us to choose another one, which we did. After reminding them 20 minutes later that we had not yet received our wine, they eventually came back to us and told us that the second bottle we had chosen was also unavailable. In the end, they just presented us with a random bottle of wine.

The pizza we had was very average, although the burrata was delicious. The dessert was poor, especially the ricotta ravioli with nutella sauce which was very dry.

I definitely would not return here.

Nice restaurant with beautiful design, lovely staff too, but the food was a let down. I went for the wild mushrooms, spinach, Gorgonzola and thyme pizza...When it arrived it had a single leaf of spinach, no tomatoes (I would have expected "white pizza" to have been clearly stated on the menu) and, to top it all, it turned out that the restaurant didn't have Gorgonzola anymore and decided to use provolone instead which made the pizza very bland. If I had known before I would have picked something else but it was too late (also, the restaurant is in front of Sainsbury's so not sure how they could run out, they could have gone there to buy more). So basically I ended up with pizza dough, bland cheese, a bit of thyme and a few sparsely spread mushrooms. We received an apology from the waiter...but I would have expected the offer of another dish or a reduction in the bill.

This was the second time I have been and had two different pasta dishes, one with octopus and one with watercress pesto. I have enjoyed both, albeit the main course pasta portions are some of the smallest i have seen anywhere - they would be starters in some places. At these prices I would expect not to leave hungry!

All the staff were lovely and friendly, our waiter (didn’t catch his name but serving 7:30 Thursday evening 26th) was quick but not pressured to eat quickly, friendly and new about the menu. Warm welcoming setting, busy but not too very loud, seemed to attract everyone from families to work colleagues dinners. Definitely have the burata and the sirloin

The restaurant was really cool and well laid out. The food was good and my friends and I had a good time.

Disappointing experience for the Nancy Silverton lunch. Pizza oven had gas supply issues during our order which was out of anyone’s control and one pizza was great whilst the other was soggy and below average quality . Mentioned this to waiter and received a sympathetic smile. Overall all staff were friendly but it was a very average and I would say not good value for money experience. Ended up going elsewhere for further food .
