Service was a little slower than normal but it was very busy. No satisfaction check during the meal and had to order drinks at the bar but felt a little pressured to leave at the end as we were asked if everything was ok 4 or 5 times in 10 minutes. Food and drinks were outstanding as normal-could not fault them. Staff seemed busy and pre occupied rather than the friendly welcome and service that we are used to. New menu is a little limited for me - i need gluten free - but my friend also struggled with choosing a preferred dish. Prices have gone up too so less value for money in my opinion.

Always a great atmosphere, we were celebrating our wedding anniversay and were shown to a really lovely table . It was a very warm evening and the open french doors were most welcome. Food choices were reall good and we both really enjoyed our starter, fiery chicken wings, and apple and glazed walnut salad for me , both were plentiful and delicious. The next course arrived after a short wait and looked huge. I selected caribbean chicken which was half a chicken seasoned with jerk spices and accompanied by caramelised apple, pineapple, peppers and onions and a portion of delicious rice and beans. I didnt think i would be able to eat it all but it was so delicious i didnt want to leave anything! My husband chose spicy pork belly with prawns and not being a fan of rice asked if he could change this to french fries, this request was accepted without any problems. His meal was accompanied by pak choi and looked equally delicious. I had a small piece of his pork which didn't seem that spicy to me but maybe thats because i already had the taste of jerk spices in my mouth. We looked at the dessert menu but having no room for anything else we declined , although they did look very tempting with some unusual ice cream selections. Overall, a lovely evening and a very nice way to spend our anniversary.

We booked a table for 6pm. It was quiet and we were given a lovely table near a window. The decor inside was nice, everything was clean and the tables were well lit and presented.

We ordered olives and garlic bread to start. The bowl of olives was a generous size as where the 2 portions of garlic bread.

For mains we had the Chickpea Curry Soft Tacos with sweet potato chips, guacamole and corn, and Pork Belly and Prawn with wilted stir tried veg and rice and beans. They were, again, generous portions and well cooked. The Chickpea Curry tacos were especially nice. For desert we ordered the chocolate pudding and the salted caramel meringue. Both beautifully presented and tasted just as good.

The rose wine was good as was the Island Records IPA. Shame the ales only come in tiny cans.

The staff were ever present and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Questions about the craft ales and the menu were answered quickly.
