A contemporary restaurant and bar located in the Grade I-listed Britannia Pavilion, PanAm serves a selection of dishes inspired by the flavours of Pan-American cuisine. Perched on the historic Albert Dock, it enjoys spectacular views over The Three Graces, Liverpool’s renowned waterfront buildings.
The PanAm menu sees international favourites like jambalaya and Caribbean fishcakes joined by a selection of pizzas and pastas. From the burger menu, tuck into the likes of the Down ‘n’ Dirty with pulled Texas chicken and smoky barbecue sauce, or the Sao Paolo chicken with piri piri marinade.
A wealth of exotic drinks are available at PanAm in Liverpool, including a selection of speciality cocktails. These are all served in the striking, moodily-lit restaurant, which boasts sleek leather chairs, low-hanging lanterns and characterful brick archways.
A stylish, modern eatery located in the heart of the Liverpool dockland area, PanAm Restaurant is just a 10-minute walk from Liverpool James Street Station.

Not the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had, but unfortunately I won’t be coming back. The restaurant itself was nice and clean and we were seated in a nice booth. The service was nice and friendly, however it became very apparent that they staff simply didn’t want to be there and didn’t care. After our order was taken it took 20 minutes for one of our party to then be told that the dish he ordered was unavailable. One of the dishes ordered didn’t come with the addition of chicken as requested and another of our dishes arrived with cold fries. When we ordered desserts one of them arrived already half melted and it seemed whenever we ordered anything it took a particularly long to arrive to us. As a whole my experience at Panam was simply ok.

Enjoyed our meal. Service was prompt and friendly. However after our mains were cleared we were not offered desserts or coffee and staff were difficult to find for our bill. We were left to our own devices and no one was there as we left the restaurant.

Overall quite disappointed the service was extremely slow we waited around 40 min between started and main meal we had to constantly ask for clean cutlery and napkins and to order more drinks and dessert we had to be the waitress attention as they didn’t check on us plus all the toilets in the ladies where blocked

We went to PanAm prior to going to the Echo Arena so it was obviously busy with pre show customers.
On arrival we stood at a desk near the entrance for ages along with other couples waiting to be directed as to where to go without anyone acknowledging our presence. In the end, I went to the bar to see where we needed to go and was pointed to the back of the bar area. Our tables weren’t ready so we were asked to wait, which is ok. When we were seated we ordered a drink which 20 mins later hadnt arrived so I went to the bar and saw our order just sitting on the counter. There was just one poor chap on his own trying to keep up with orders and in the restaurant there seemed to be a definite lack of staff. The waitresses seemed to be rushed off their feet.
When we eventually had our food orders taken, they arrived quickly but my fish and chips were over cooked. My husbands food was satisfactory.
I would say the restaurant and bar looks very tired and in need of updating. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this venue.
