Appreciated the vegetarian menu - we had 2 vegetarians in the party and it was good that they knew their dietary preferences would be easily catered for. Sandwich selections were good - it was nice not to just have cucumber and egg! Loved the setting - it was busy but light and not too cramped. We did not feel rushed or hurried. We enjoyed our classic afternoon tea. Only criticism was our extra sandwiches had to be re-ordered as the first request failed to get to the kitchen and our waiter disappeared to the cloakroom with our coat tag but did not come back so we had to find someone else to get our coats before we could leave. Neither was a real issue as we had plenty of time and it was busy! Easy to find - we needed somewhere near Green Park or on the Jubilee line.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The staff went out of their way to look after us. Nothing was too much for them. We were celebrating my friends 65th birthday and they helped make it a very special day for her.

My sister and I had afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday, the food was lovely with extra sandwiches, scones and cakes if you wanted them, it was served with free flowing bubbly(and it certainly was!) My daughter ordered pizza which was also lovely, there was a harpist to add to the atmosphere and the staff were all brilliant, especially the young waitress, I was still suffering the effects of a chest infection, she noticed my cough and offered me a tea made with honey and ginger, brilliant customer care. To top it all I received a beautiful tiny chocolate cake and the harpist played happy birthday to you!

The service was impeccable. We had numerous servers taking care of all our needs. The food was excellent and the drinks were outstanding. I had booked the table back in November for dinner in February and at the time they had a deal for two courses a cocktail for 30 pounds for their 1920's night. When we arrived they said they didn't have the special anymore but when they noticed I had booked it way in advance they honored the reservation and the deal. Which I think went above and beyond. I had the Saffron Risotto Ossobucco, Parmesan, Red Wine Braised Ossobucco which was out of this world and my wife had the Lobster Omelette ‘Arnold Bennett’ Glazed Lobster & Cheese Omelette, Spring Onions & Caviar whic was also spectacular. Would highly recomend the Palm Court to anyone.

I had not been to this hotel for afternoon tea for some years and knew it had been remodeled, I was pleased to see the restaurant was still very nice. We had a good table near the harpist. the waitress's although very busy, took time to explain the menu. We enjoyed the sandwiches especially tuna and the gammon not so keen on the wraps, nothing wrong with filling just not a wrap lover! The scones were good as were the preserves. the cakes were exquisite, beautiful colors and flavors, looked too nice to eat! Good choice of teas.
