The hotel was beautiful and everyone loves a good bathroom as well. It was me and my friends birthday do went for the afternoon tea. My friend asked for the halal option but when the sandwiches came out they placed her cucumber sandwich next to the beef and when asked to have her cucumber sandwich changed we were asked "so they have to be separate?" lovely waiter but if you are producing a halal friendly option maybe equip your staff with the basic understanding of it just as you would for a vegan or pescatarian. Sandwiches were lovely and we were able to get them replenished which was ace. Scones were very small compared to other afternoon teas we have been to and by the time we got to them they were cold and dry, so maybe they could be brought out separately once the sandwiches have been eaten. Did not rate the cakes, there was one of each so we had to split with a knife...why not give you two of each so you can both taste? They were not great but because I had drunk so much tea and had a lot of sandwiches I wasn't that bothered but it would have been nice to end on a high.

Fabulous afternoon tea with lots of free flowing prosecco. Sandwiches and cakes were delicious. Staff were extremely attentive and made us feel special. Tried to book the Ritz but couldn't get in. How glad am I that we didn't. Excellent value for money, would definitely recommend.

Afternoon tea was delightful. Staff were incredibly attentive at enduring the glasses of bubbles were never empty. Scones were exceptional, rest of the afternoon tea was pleasant. Would have appreciated opportunity to top up the tea as well, but overall the experience was lovely.

Lovely afternoon tea. Sandwiches, scones and cakes were delicious. Range of teas good. It would have been nice to have been offered a refresh of the pots of tea.

Fantastic experience. The sandwiches were tasty. The scones and jams were delicious. The pastries were good. The utensils for tea and the flores on the table bring a romantic and charming twist to the guest. Everything was great.

Lovely setting, quietly elegant. Service was wonderful and truly generous with the flowing bubbly! The food was superb and the hat cakes were so gorgeous it was almost a shame to eat them, but not quite!?!

I booked a table for afternoon tea for my future daughter-in-laws hen-do. I paid the full amount including service when I booked and then arrived early to decorate the table with balloons etc. The service, food, drinks were first class, and the gluten free option was the best that I have had! The free flowing prosecco deal was excellent value for money and Louise had a really lovely time!
