Booked as a gift and upgraded on the day to "free flowing fizz" Hosts were very friendly and kept the food and drinks topped up without rushing us. Sandwiches and scones were delicious and we will be back!

Afternoon Tea - we were looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, a very nice relaxing afternoon. Tea was superb and we really enjoyed the harp music.

The initial welcoming was not ideal as there were number of people queuing to be seated & staff were busy with other customers- not quite the experience you expect from a 5* hotel restaurant. Was seriously off putting for someone trying the experience first time.
But once we were seated the service was good. Food is tasty; compared to other afternoon tea the sandwich served were slightly different which is refreshing.

Service, food, view, comfort and happy birthday gesture were all lovely. Leisurely but felt pampered. Only complaint: There was a group of 'Chicago Bears' football fans sitting in the front by the harpist who were loudly watching the game, shouting and generally ruining the vibe. They were friendly and happy but paid no mind at all to other patrons. I don't think the harpist (who was otherwise amazing) and staff should have accommodated their request to do a stand up rendition of their team song (and play the video back to themselves afterwards). I understand they likely paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel, but we felt like we were less important as dining guests and our experience was considered secondary to theirs by the staff. More American sports arena vibe than 1920's afternoon tea.

Our afternoon tea at the Palm Court Sheraton was an absolute dream come true. We loved hearing the harp throughout our visit! Each server was very attentive and polite. The one who took our tea order was so knowledgeable and had great recommendations. The three tier display was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We were offered more sandwiches

As a couple who do not drink alcohol or tea or coffee we do not rate ourselves as your ‘usual’ customers. However, when asking for hot chocolate we were presented with a very disappointing version. We were not after any of the extras that can go along with ordering a hot chocolate. We did, however, expect something that tasted of chocolate and was, indeed, hot! We were presented with a very weak and tasteless liquid that wasn’t even hot. When we asked for it to be stronger and hotter they delivered something just acceptably stronger. but only warmer, certainly not something you could sip because it was nice and hot. Very disappointing indeed. Everything else was very nice but the whole experience was not what we had hoped for, especially as it was a special trip to London for a birthday treat. Sorry to be so negative but you need to be aware for the benefit of any other customers with the same requirements as ourselves.

The hotel was beautiful and everyone loves a good bathroom as well.
It was me and my friends birthday do went for the afternoon tea. My friend asked for the halal option but when the sandwiches came out they placed her cucumber sandwich next to the beef and when asked to have her cucumber sandwich changed we were asked "so they have to be separate?" lovely waiter but if you are producing a halal friendly option maybe equip your staff with the basic understanding of it just as you would for a vegan or pescatarian.

Sandwiches were lovely and we were able to get them replenished which was ace.

Scones were very small compared to other afternoon teas we have been to and by the time we got to them they were cold and dry, so maybe they could be brought out separately once the sandwiches have been eaten.

Did not rate the cakes, there was one of each so we had to split with a knife...why not give you two of each so you can both taste? They were not great but because I had drunk so much tea and had a lot of sandwiches I wasn't that bothered but it would have been nice to end on a high.
