Main course - chicken breast from the grill was wrapped with back bacon - not streaky one as in description. Additionally dish was dry and lacking any sauce. Dessert came late, the waiter dropped it when serving so the top decoration have fallen on my table. He wiped it but the dessert wasn't replaced. Place is very nice but overall food is not as expected. Starter was very good - we ordered goats cheese sufflet - very tasty.

Relaxed atmosphere, good food, friendly service. What more could you want in a restaurant?

As a fairly frequent patron last visit was disappointing, first visit on a weekday evening. Young children running around. Service which is normally impeccable was decidedly average even though the restaurant was not full. The food was definitely below par, the asparagus starter was poor in quality and presentation, the main duo of lamb was not much better. Really disappointing for a normally brilliant venue. Advice you need to be on your game every night of the week.

Beautiful decor very relaxed atmosphere and even though the restaurant was busy we did not feel like we were disturbed at all by the other guests dinning. Waiter was very attentive to our needs and the food & service was first class The solo harpist was a lovely treat.

Went to the Palm Court for Lunch with my daughter and cousin from Leeds. The staff were attentive the surroundings are bright and give a feeling opulence. We observed people having afternoon tea. The tea was very popular but I thought for a place like The Palm Court it was unimaginative. I thought our afternoon tea at Oulton Hall Leeds was superior. Having said that the food we had was tasty. I had Prawn Risotto, had to search for the few tiny bits of Asparagus. My other two guests had Omelettes served on a very large plate with a small handful of leaves, again it looked very plain and unimaginative. We are not in any hurry to go back.

Always have a good roast dinner here but sometimes certain foods have run out ( sausages this Sunday, roast potatoes were inedible another Sunday )
