Restaurant description

Nestled in a quaint, authentic setting overlooking the iconic Piazza, Palm Court Brasserie Covent Garden serves sublime modern European cuisine. Lovingly crafted in a 1920s art nouveau style, the dining room boasts effortless Parisian chic.

Offering an eclectic range of cuisine in the heart of cosmopolitan Covent Garden, the Palm Court Brasserie menu presents classic French dishes alongside sumptuous pan-Mediterranean choices. The ever-popular, cleansing taste of moules mariniere is offset by a rich and spicy Moroccan casserole with cous cous and flaked almonds.

As well as fun and fruity cocktails, Palm Court Brasserie restaurant presents a varied yet selective wine list, ranging from crisp whites to complex, aromatic reds. The tempting dessert menu lures those with a sweet tooth, with classic crème brulee and Valrhona chocolate tart with Cointreau mousse offering rich, decadent flavours.

In a vibrant area of London, Palm Court Brasserie is nestled just 3 minutes’ walk from Covent Garden Tube Station.

very good pre-theatre menu with good choice and excellent food preparation. Very attuned to theatre goers. The experience was the best since we have been going to this restaurant. They seem to have moved up a notch in quality.

This is one of our favourite restaurants, the welcoming staff, ambience, food & excellent service always ensures our return, however like most restaurants it can’t always be rated 5* & unfortunately that was the case with our latest visit. We arrived 15 mins before our 12pm booking time, as usually the staff are happy to seat their first table bookings a little earlier, but on this occasion the doors did not actually open until 12pm, so a queue had already formed. This should not have been a problem though as we were seated immediately & given our chosen pre theatre menu to order. The problem arose when our starter arrived....the Wedge of Brie was served under cooked, the filo pastry was still white & slightly moist and the Brie inside had not melt. It’s a real shame because this dish, although simple, is usually one of the best starters. As the restaurant was already quite busy and we didn’t have time to wait for a replacement, we left it and just advised the waiter when he collected our plates. The rest of our meal, sea bass followed by cheesecake & creme brûlée was of the usual high standard and the Kir Royale always adds something special. Maybe they were running a little late that day and rushed the starters? It’s hard for me to down rate this restaurant as I love it here, but my reviews are based on each individual visit and on this occasion there was a slight “hiccup”.

Lovely friendly restaurant with good food. We had the pre theatre menu - thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom soup and fillet of trout with crushed potatoes. Service was efficient and friendly. And the loos were clean and pleasant!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. We arrived early but that was not a problem. Restaurant was very busy but service was good. Concerned we might be encouraged to vacate the table but that didn’t happen. Recommend the sea bass.
