Restaurant description

An iconic landmark on the South Bank skyline, OXO Tower Restaurant offers contemporary dining from its modern British menu. Relax in the OXO Restaurant over lunch or dinner whilst taking in the unparalleled views of St Paul’s and the City of London. With a seasonal menu created by Head Chef Jeremy Bloor, an extensive wine list and an enviable terrace, this is the perfect place to celebrate, whatever the occasion.

Using only the finest ingredients, the OXO Tower Restaurant offers guests the opportunity to savour some of the best seasonal British produce on offer. Start with deep-fried courgette flower with goats’ curd or cured duck with melon and sour cream before tucking into dry-aged beef fillet with fresh truffles or Isle of Skye langoustines with fennel curd and blood orange jellies.

The extensive wine list, handpicked by Head Sommelier Diego Muntoni, offers guests a vast choice of wines, including some that are rarely available in London. For added theatre, guests can also choose to order from the OXO martini trolley and watch as the expert bar team mix the perfect martini cocktail at your table.

For a truly British experience, treat yourself to an afternoon tea in the Restaurant and indulge in a selection of finger sandwiches, savoury bites and homemade scones with a cup of perfectly-brewed tea with tea leaves grown on the Tregothnan estate in Cornwall.

We had a lovely time right from the moment we arrived, like drowned rats from the rain, out coats were taken & dried. We were escorted to a window table as requested. Service throughout was impeccable and the food delicious. Not hurried despot the booking saying the table was ours for 2 hours, we didn’t want to leave we had such a nice time. Even a little birthday candle at the end of the meal to accompany the truffles we ordered. I will return next week with my husband for his birthday, can’t wait!

I had informed the restaurant on booking (some months ago) that it was a special occasion and requested a window table - I was told this could not be guaranteed and if possible on the night would be done. It clearly wasn’t done and no mention, apology or explanation was forthcoming. Whilst I understand this, it was disappointing during the evening to see other diners relocated to a window seat. The food and service were excellent, though the initial greeting and bar service was poor bordering on the rude. Overall purely based on the food, and food and wine service I would recommend the OXO. However, the overall experience on the night was a bit disappointing.

Food was good, slightly overpriced, tables close together so conversations can be overheard.

We had afternoon tea and both the food and service were excellent and we had such a lovely afternoon. However could I urge a review of the policy of allowing small children in the restaurant, particularly when they are screaming.

The service was exceptional. The food was presented brilliantly and was of high quality. We thought that the spacing between each meal was well timed. Would go again!
