Restaurant description

Perched high on the 8th floor of OXO Tower on London’s South Bank, OXO Tower Brasserie affords sensational views across London and the Thames from its 250-foot terrace and dining area. The informal setting has an infectious buzz, with live music from an extensive line-up of jazz musicians adding an extra dimension to the experience.

Head Chef Keir Barry has created a modern Brasserie menu with simple, fresh and comforting dishes that champion the best local and seasonal produce on offer. Tuck into mains such as seared scallops, fingerling potatoes and Parma ham crisp or sea bass with cuttlefish and butter bean stew and aioli. Many meat dishes are cooked over charcoal on the Josper grill, creating a rich barbecue flavour that is perfect for al fresco dining in the summer.

Just a stone's throw from some of London's most popular theatres, OXO Tower Brasserie also caters for those looking for a quick meal before or after the show with its pre and post theatre dining menu. An excellent cocktail list accompanies the menu, and unique to the Brasserie, 'Not Afternoon Tea' is a must-try experience for those who enjoy a sweet treat with a difference. A selection of delicious desserts includes coriander and lime leaf chocolate mousse and chocolate and rose tart with candied flowers.

OXO Tower Brasserie in London is just 8 minutes’ walk from Southwark and Waterloo and 10 minutes’ walk from Blackfriars Tube station.

Please request an outdoor table using the ‘special request’ field when booking. Note that although the restaurant will do their best to accommodate the request, an outdoor table may not be available.

Great service and great food with decent sized portions. Beats the restaurants in The Shard, hands down. The drinks service a little bit slow but wasn’t really a problem

I really like it here and visit relatively frequently but I’m finding it increasingly noisy and difficult to chat over the meal - especially when sat too close to the musicians/singer. One of my guests actually said she wouldn’t return because she just couldn’t hear herself speak or anyone else which meant she just didn’t enjoy the evening at all! That’s not what you want to hear when you take people out for the evening. Sadly, whilst you might think it helps having a singer present, I’m afraid that for me and some of my friends and relatives it’ll almost certainly mean we won’t visit as often. I’d normally give this restaurant four or even five stars but not any more

I had lunch at the Brasserie with 2 old school friends - we were all celebrating a significant birthday. The food was wonderful - such a good choice and my gluten intolerance was well catered to. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and professional - attentive without being intrusive. A most happy experience and I shall definitely return!

Busy, efficient and welcoming. A family dining experience for my birthday. Great food for both adults and children, and with a lovely singer entertaining us during the evening made it even better.
