Restaurant description

Perched high on the 8th floor of OXO Tower on London’s South Bank, OXO Tower Brasserie affords sensational views across London and the Thames from its 250-foot terrace and dining area. The informal setting has an infectious buzz, with live music from an extensive line-up of jazz musicians adding an extra dimension to the experience.

Head Chef Keir Barry has created a modern Brasserie menu with simple, fresh and comforting dishes that champion the best local and seasonal produce on offer. Tuck into mains such as seared scallops, fingerling potatoes and Parma ham crisp or sea bass with cuttlefish and butter bean stew and aioli. Many meat dishes are cooked over charcoal on the Josper grill, creating a rich barbecue flavour that is perfect for al fresco dining in the summer.

Just a stone's throw from some of London's most popular theatres, OXO Tower Brasserie also caters for those looking for a quick meal before or after the show with its pre and post theatre dining menu. An excellent cocktail list accompanies the menu, and unique to the Brasserie, 'Not Afternoon Tea' is a must-try experience for those who enjoy a sweet treat with a difference. A selection of delicious desserts includes coriander and lime leaf chocolate mousse and chocolate and rose tart with candied flowers.

Find the OXO Tower down the riverside from the iconic London Eye. OXO Tower Brasserie in London is just 8 minutes’ walk from Southwark and Waterloo and 10 minutes’ walk from Blackfriars Tube station.

Please request an outdoor table using the ‘special request’ field when booking. Note that although the restaurant will do their best to accommodate the request, an outdoor table may not be available.

From start to finish it was an amazing experience. Easily accessible via public transport. Great location. Front desk very welcoming. They asked if we were celebrating anything. The venue, atmosphere, ambience was great, and relaxing considering how busy it was. Later on in the evening, there was live music. Great views of london! The food was fantastic, cooked to perfection, and generous portions. We were celebrating a friends birthday, so they decorated her dessert and put a candle on it for her. Great finishing touch. We had the table for two hours. They even let us stay a bit longer, and then found us a place at the bar. Which we also loved! Would definitely recommend and visit again. 10/10, 5 stars .

Food very good. They were happy to tweak set menu like "no cheese crutons" and "no mushroom sauce". Fantastic view. Rather noisy but fine if you like atmosphere. Service excellent. Private conversation was possible, without shouting, even when piano music playing.

My cocktail was very diluted. Too much ice and can't really taste the alcohol. Starter and dessert were tastefull . But main course was very bland. Service was friendly and good. Request for window seating was honoured. Nice touch to add happy birthday script to my husband's dessert plate .
