Restaurant description

Perched high on the 8th floor of OXO Tower on London’s South Bank, OXO Tower Brasserie affords sensational views across London and the Thames from its 250-foot terrace and dining area. The informal setting has an infectious buzz, with live music from an extensive line-up of jazz musicians adding an extra dimension to the experience.

Head Chef Keir Barry has created a modern Brasserie menu with simple, fresh and comforting dishes that champion the best local and seasonal produce on offer. Tuck into mains such as seared scallops, fingerling potatoes and Parma ham crisp or sea bass with cuttlefish and butter bean stew and aioli. Many meat dishes are cooked over charcoal on the Josper grill, creating a rich barbecue flavour that is perfect for al fresco dining in the summer.

Just a stone's throw from some of London's most popular theatres, OXO Tower Brasserie also caters for those looking for a quick meal before or after the show with its pre and post theatre dining menu. An excellent cocktail list accompanies the menu, and unique to the Brasserie, 'Not Afternoon Tea' is a must-try experience for those who enjoy a sweet treat with a difference. A selection of delicious desserts includes coriander and lime leaf chocolate mousse and chocolate and rose tart with candied flowers.

OXO Tower Brasserie in London is just 8 minutes’ walk from Southwark and Waterloo and 10 minutes’ walk from Blackfriars Tube station.

Please request an outdoor table using the ‘special request’ field when booking. Note that although the restaurant will do their best to accommodate the request, an outdoor table may not be available.

They were very busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table despite our reservation, consuming some overpriced drinks at the bar while we waited. But when we got the table it was fine, and the waitress compensated us for the delay. The food was good and my dietary issue was addressed well, the portions were generous and the bill not excessive at all. A noisy environment to be fair, and not somewhere you'd go for a romantic candlelit dinner - but for a decent meal at a decent price it was good. And the views were nice (or would have been had it not been so dull).

Excellent service and food. We had set menu which included 3 courses and a cocktail for £30 - really good value with great choices and good size portions. Food was delicious! Adequate time between courses; we were told we could have table for 2 hours but actually had it for over 3 hours at which point we were moved to the lovely bar area to finish our drinks. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

The food was amazing, as was the service. The live music added to an already busy atmosphere but in a good way. Stunning views my only nic pick was the tables were very close together meaning we were knocked when people went past us or could easily hear others conversations

Lovely lunch experience and good value for money. Menu was limited, but offered good options for a vegetarian and 3 fairly fussy eaters The food for all courses looked and tasted delicious. The portion sizes were just right. Service was excellent and we did not feel rushed. The views were lovely and the staff made my husbands 50th birthday special by writing a message in chocolate on his dessert plate. Staff also wrote a nice message, as I hadrequested, on our mums’ dessert plates.

Very good experience - big area / number of tables in the Brasserie (as opposed to the Restaurant). Promptly seated at 6pm and all staff were very polite and timely. Food was very good and did not disappoint. Portion size was good too (sometimes these can be a bit small). Enjoyed the £30 set menu which was of good variety and quality plus a cocktail. Singer and pianist in the brasserie during the evening but a little hard to hear as guests were busy chatting. No hesitation in recommending. We had finished our meal in 1.5 hrs but didn't feel rushed.
