On the ground floor of the Hilton London Bankside Hotel, OXBO Bankside uses local produce to create flavour-packed European dishes. An elegantly styled dining room William Morris-inspired design makes for a uniquely chic dining destination.
Regional produce such as Cornish monkfish cheeks and Borough Market Portobello mushroom is highlighted in dishes such as duck breast with artichoke purée, mandarin jus and sweet potato crisps. Beautifully presented desserts such as blueberry and fudge bread and butter pudding provide a mouth-watering conclusion to the OXBO Bankside menu.
The William Morris-inspired design at OXBO London features bare brickwork and metal screens to produce a cool, urban ambience which is enhanced by the open kitchen. Once a Victorian distillery, the aptly named Distillery bar features aromatically infused cocktails which celebrate the site’s history.
Paul Bates leads the Hilton Bankside’s innovative restaurant which is a 5-minute walk from Southwark Tube station.

4th time visiting Oxbo Bankside - absolutely amazing! Service was great! Food was perfect and plenty to choose from! drinks were topped up constantly. Atmosphere was just right, we could hear the live music but still hold a conversation. I would highly recommend Oxbo Bankside as a brunch and or dinning venue!

Fantastic as usual.
Great selections of cold starters l, salads, roasts and plenty of mouth-watering desserts.
The restaurant design is very cool too and the live performance with acoustic singer a plus.
This is a regular sunday treat, never disappoints. I have recommended it to people that have absolutely loved it too.

The food was extremely tasty and filling. The service was good and the staff friendly. It is a shame it lacks atmosphere but a lovely restaurant.

My friends and I have eaten at Oxbo on many occasions but when we went on Saturday I was somewhat disappointed with the service and quality of food.
One of my friends had a hair in her food, my friend who is a vegetarian was extremely limited on her choice of starters and the main vegetable sharing plate was more like a side dish and the meat on the sharing plate was very grisly.
The staff were slow at filling our glasses and we got told we couldn’t get anything from the freshly cooked station as we were too late.
On the upside the staff were polite and tried their best.

we were 4, took the 3 course lunch option plus prosecco. The food was excellent. The restaurant surprisingly quiet, only one or 2 other tables. They pleasantly turned the music down a little when we asked. we will return. The wine service was slow though I think that a one off as a junior could not find the bottle.

We'd recommend OXBO Bankside very highly. All the food was absolutely delicious and well-presented. My two friends and I had difficulty choosing dishes because the choices were mouth-watering (always a good sign), the staff were very helpful and attentive but not obtrusive, and the lunch offer of £21 for 3 courses and a glass of prosecco was excellent, well worth a slight detour. It is a large, modern restaurant on the ground floor. It's close to the Tate Modern Art Gallery, a few minutes walk from Southwark tube station.

The quality of food here is very good. However, this is let down by the overall organisation of the restaurant:
- the menu available was different to the one advertised online, despite dining on the same day as booking;
- the only meat option on the menu provided (guinea fowl) was not available. We were only informed of this after we had ordered. On request, an alternative was offered (chicken) but this was disappointing;
- one of the three dessert options was also unavailable;
- the bottle of wine brought was a different and lower quality wine to the one ordered. This is the second time this has happened, without the waiter even mentioning the chosen option is not available and presenting the alternative as if it were the one chosen.
I appreciate that any set menu will offer fewer options. However, the fact that a number of options on the already limited selection were not available, including the only meat option, is very poor.

There was a mix up with our booking but the restaurant was good about it offering us meal for four but charging for three only!! The actual brunch was really wonderful and the endless proseco topped it all. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
