I was disappointed not to have been clearly informed that Nathan Outlaw had actually left the restaurant. His Michelin status was the reason for going.

Having been good clients at the restaurant in the hotel for a very long time. We were so upset to see how the whole bar and restaurant has evolved to this.

£10 supplement for beef which half was gristel ( did complain) dessert Lemon cake very dry, sorbet Yes, no coconut sauce but did'nt ask as both myself and guest wanted to leave The bill was incorrect in it's listing, but price was, this caused confustion not just for us but for staff also. Been before and everything was fine. But you let yourselves down and we had not a good time

We visited on the 16 March 2019 my wife's 70th birthday and our 45th wedding anniversary. The booking on line was straight forward and easy with a call a couple of days before the the booking, all great. On arrival coats taken and settled in the bar for a pre dinner drink. The service throughout was excellent and beyond reproach. We both really enjoyed the food and selected wines making it a very memorable evening. What a lovely surprise when the waitress brought an ice cream sandwich complete with candle and good wishes written in chocolate also a menu signed by the chefs as a memento A night to remember that is for sure. Thank you everyone.

the food was very good and the bread was also lovely. favourite dish was the brill with lemon sauce. only negative comment; while the service was excellent and the staff very helpful, knowledgeable and professional, the atmosphere created by staff so formally dressed is quite oppressive. Argentinian wine as part of the pairing was not an enjoyable experience (quite metallic, with a chemical aftertaste), but the other wines were perfectly paired and both enjoyable and interesting

The food was fantastic, the tasting menu was very well handled and the wine / non-alcoholic cocktails which accompanied the food were superb. Very highly recommended

The staff was very friendly but the food was very disappointing. The bill was over £700 for the 4 of us (four standard tasting menus and two wine flights) and there were no stand out dishes. May of the dishes were over seasoned and the sauces over powered the fish. We wanted to really love it but it was a very big disappointment. Also, my husband said at the start of the meal he didn't eat chocolate but they still brought him the (standard) chocolate dessert, as well as the wrong type of tea. You expect more from a michelin star restaurant. Especially at these prices.
