From Tom Sellers, the man behind Michelin-starred Restaurant Story, Ours in Kensington serves creative modern European cuisine alongside seasonal cocktails. Complete with indoor trees and exposed brick walls, the unique dining space is bathed in natural light from the large sky lights and impressive panelled windows.

The Restaurant Ours menu showcases exciting and innovative flavour combinations. Start with the likes of rabbit with sorrel and sauce gribiche, mackerel with greengage and pork jowl, or a classic steak tartare. As well as lobster fresh from the tank, mains include truffle tagliatelle, chicken with foie gras and smoked celeriac, and John Dory with butternut and sea buckthorn.

The drinks list at Restaurant Ours London is equally impressive. A selection of international wines is joined by signature cocktails, such as the Wild Clover which blends Tanqueray gin with rhubarb, marjoram, ginger and raspberries.

Adding a touch of retro chic to effortless elegance, the unique decor of Restaurant Ours brings the outside in. Find this unique space a 5-minute walk from South Kensington Tube station.

Ours is quite glamorous. Housed in an old railway building (I think) with modern everything else and (very good) fake trees with fairy lights wound around them. The waiters are quite formally dressed and the waiting is generally pretty good. They seem to have decided that loud music is the way to go. I don't agree this is ever a good idea for a restaurant; it makes it impossible to have a relaxed conversation and the noise level escalates as alcohol is added to tables of shrieking women having a wonderful time. I have to say that I liked the music very much and it was turned down to a reasonable level when asked. It was turned back up again quite a while before we left.

I can't fault the food. We had the special offer menu which is short but well thought out. Of course, they are mainly the cheaper options for the restaurant so serious meat eaters would be disappointed. Between the four of us we had beetroot salad, foie gras and chicken parfait, tuna tartare, pea risotto, chicken with courgetti, doughnuts and fresh fruit salad. The beetroot salad was, I think we all agreed, the star of the show. It was so pretty and absolutely delicious: different coloured baby beetroot, tiny swirls of horseradish and wee blobs of pink beetroot puree, scattered with pieces of raspberry, tiny leaves and various delicate dressings - a feast for the eyes, heart and stomach, just fabulous. The other starters were all enjoyed. Three of us had the pea risotto for the main course and all loved it. The chicken was a juicy, tasty breast and the only stumbling point was the courgetti. Surely courgetti is spiralised courgette, making it spaghetti? At Ours, courgetti is a courgette sauce or velouté. Oh well. It went beautifully with the roasted piece of chicken, anyway.

For dessert, the other three had doughnuts with caramel. I was served a wonderful plate of fresh fruit, all ripe and sweet. And this was a last minute request so top marks for that. We will return!

A real cool location with friendly, attentive staff. Good variety of dishes to suit every taste, portions not as small as suggested...
    Nice ambience, lively atmosphere.

On arrival the hosts said they didn't have our booking and almost seemed like they were going to send us away (even with our booking confirmation). Luckily the manager asked what was going on and showed us to a table which was right in the corner by the kitchen but I would rather that then go all the way home! The area seemed like the fly corner , flys crawling up the window behind us and all over our table - one even fell in my food.

Other than that I loved everything about the place, great food, drink and music! The waiter was great it was his first night and he looked after us with great care.

This place doesn't know what it wants to be .... Is it a pub? A club? (Very loud music) A tapas bar (plates were brought out one by one .... With the implication that everyone would share there entree... And then their main and then their pudding - but they weren't really sharing plates... Risotto?? Chicken breast ??? Salmon tartare???)

Very loud. Staff disinterested. Food was presented beautifully but didn't really deliver on "tastiness". No where near as good as the dining experience at Story. Dilution of the brand in my opinion.

Romantic setting with a relaxed ambience. Lovely food but portions were on the small side and the service was a bit hit and miss at time

The offer from Bookatable was incredible - almost half the price of ordering off the menu. The food was absolutely devine and the atmosphere was very lively - not sure if I could bring my parents here but it couldnt be more perfect for a buzzy dinner date night or with a group of friends or j
