A lengthy wine list is specially designed to complement the menu.

Oscar’s in Redditch also serves a traditional afternoon tea. Enjoy indulgent treats in the bright, conservatory-style dining room, or head out onto the terrace when the weather permits.

Had afternoon tea which was very tasty it was a little unfortunate that the cakes were not presented very well and appeared as all moshed up on the cake plate. Apart from that the service was very friendly

Savoury dishes underwhelming. Scones dry and too big. Lemon meringue pie too sweet. Brownie and gin & tonic sorbet was the best thing on the tiered stand. Restaurant was nice, decor was interesting. Staff very nice but not as attentive as would expect. We weren't offered more tea. Felt a bit underappreciated hence why we didn't leave a tip. Not wowed enough so we won't be returning sorry.

Afternoon tea was just lovely. We had wonderful service and it was very enjoyable with lovely food. In the evening a very large wedding was on that left no room for private diners. A lot of the guests were very loud obviously having drunk a lot. There were a group of people standing taking photos at the main bar and then singing while linking arms which meant we couldn't get to the bar to get a drink. After an hour and realising this was only get to get worse the more all the guests drunk (one couple nearly fell over in the main bar near our table) we opted to get room service back in our room. When we mentioned this to the lady on reception we were told 'well it is a wedding I suppose' so this was apparently ok. Not really what we had in mind for our relaxing night away. I would recommend the hotel but only if there is not a wedding on definitely advise guests to check if and rebook an alternative night if that is the case. Many of the guests were at the main bar, in the foyer, and seated in the lounge bar area so it felt as if we were crashing someone else's, rather drunken, wedding. My reviews are much higher than I would leave for the evening as afternoon tea was very enjoyable.

Id paid for a royal afternoon tea & a childs tea for me & my daughters birthday. Beautiful hotel very clean all set up lovely. Nice tea great service from the waitress. Only ones in there to be fair. Our food came and to be honest it wasnt the best looking....my bagel was missing the watercress & the cakes looked like the cheap cakes you get from the super market for a kids party. Not like the pictures at all. The scone was a small basic scone out of packet. They did warm it up though. My daughters tea was almost the same which was great for a child she loved it. Value for money for hers. Mine was very disappointing. But the waitress was so nice and made my daughter feel special so i didnt complain. I would strongly recommend that the hotel actually gives you whats advertised rather than the cheap alternatives you get. I would book again in the hope this was a one off as it really is a lovely setting.
