Wanted to teach our girls afternoon tea culture.. They were really impressed (and so were we!). What a great themed afternoon tea it was!

Inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, One Aldwych have created a unique afternoon tea. From decadent golden eggs to blueberry brioche and playful flavoured candy floss, every item reflects the wit and wonder of Roald Dahl's classic tale.

Executive Chef Dominic Teague and his team have created a scrumdiddlyumptious One Aldwych afternoon tea menu using the finest, freshest ingredients. Teatime treats are served alongside a selection of award-winning loose leaf teas and infusions from Canton Tea, each of which has been chosen to complement the delicate flavours from the kitchen.

Originally built in 1907 as the home of the Morning Post newspaper, One Aldwych occupies one of the most important Edwardian buildings in London, offering beautiful rooms, serious cocktails, delicious food and a brilliant buzz.

One Aldwych is an award-winning contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of London, just a 4-minute walk away from Covent Garden Tube Station.

Dissapointing. Afternoon tea is served in the foyer sitting on lounge chairs. Other hotel guests walking around you. It did not have that special feel that afternoon teas in other London hotels have. Probably because you were not in an area with other people having the same afternoon tea experience.

Fabulous afternoon tea. Great to have more than sandwiches for savouries. The cakes were amazing, loved the candy floss.. Great choices of teas and encouraged to try more than one type. Service attentive but not obtrusive. Would recommend.

My daughter and I had a delightful afternoon tea at One Aldwych from the delicious selection of sweet and savoury food and drinks.. Do try the cocktail as the presentation as well as the taste is amazing. The staffing and decor are also exceptional.

It was a lovely tea. We were group of 8 with 3 teenage children. They did not love choice of sandwiches much but absolutely loved the Willie Wonka themed dessert!

The afternoon tea looked fantastic especially the desserts and best of all they managed to do it all gluten free! The flavours were fantastic, it was a real treat.

Came for my son's 8th Birthday. The tea was very enjoyable. Sandwiches were replenished.

The sweets were very nice with some unusual but please take flavours.

Additional cake with candle was presented to my son. Nice touch.

    Thank you
