Had the chefs 5 course menu which has replaced the 5 course fish menu, all dishes eaten were great. It enables groups where someone does not eat fish to try the good value menu. Service as good as ever.

Food was great only issue was that there were 5 adults and we ordered 5 roasts , 2 of the men thought hmm weird our food portions look small and only half of the stuffing etc. To find out when we paid they had been given two child’s roasts , so god knows how the waitress managed that, they definitely wouldn’t of wanted that size!

The booking service was easy to use. The restaurant kept in touch. When we arrived we were greeted and are orders were taken in a timely manner. All of the staff were great. Food was a tad greasy though.

Lost its sparkle on the food front tonight. Some pieces of squid were chewy and rubbery like elastic bands, broccoli side was so salty it was inedible and was returned, cavolo nero and chorizo was too salty and right at the end of eating the chicken supreme at the go e the meat was pink with red blood from the bone. Tables were a bit sticky too. I overheard the head chef had gone to the brixham restaurant and maybe this was why it wasn't its usually high standard. The gentleman waited was lovely though

Excellent imaginative starter, then really fresh mussels with a fabulous sauce. And gorgeous home made sorbet. Great team working there, superb value for money.

Booked this whilst having a few days away. Really warm welcome and offered a choice of places to sit. We opted for the starters of octopus carpaccio and miso pork belly. Both amazing. We then had the special of the day. The mussels.. omg they were delicious and plentiful. Came with foccacia, fries and a choice of sauces. Also a glass of prosecco. Desert was the creme brulee with a cinnamon donut, again delicious. This place is a delight with extremely knowledgeable people and huge portions of food. . There are some mixed reviews however I have nothing but praise for the restaurant and would not hesitate to reccomend it and visit again . The bill was £67 and that also included wine. Very good value.
