The winner of both a Michelin star and 3 AA Rosettes, few restaurants are as celebrated as Olive Tree in Bath. Specialising in fresh, locally-sourced British cuisine, the restaurant’s exciting seasonal menu is developed by head chef Chris Cleghorn, a protégé of Michelin-starred chefs Heston Blumenthal, Michael Caines and Adam Simmonds.

Using only the very best suppliers in the West Country, including Longman Cheese Shop and Walter Rose & Son butchers, the acclaimed chefs at Olive Tree create sumptuous variations on classic dishes. Fillet and shin beef is served with celeriac boulangère potato, roasted shallot and wholegrain mustard, while the confit leg of guinea fowl comes in a delicious gewürztraminer sauce.

The drinks at Olive Tree in Somerset are no less important than the food. The superb range of artisan spirits and outstanding wines available led to the restaurant receiving The Good Food Guide Wine List of the Year award in 2011.

Offering gourmet, sustainable, award-winning food and drink, Olive Tree in Bath is just an 8-minute drive from Bath Spa Station.

Can taste the Chef used heart to cook. Staff r friendly and nice except the manager seems v rush for every talk every steps. Seems without patient to wait customer to talk. Even can’t hear well what he describe the food. If without that, everything is fine.

For those after the ultimate experience from a trip to Bath - The Olive Tree is the place to dine. Housed in a period Georgian property along a seemingly residential street up by The Crescent, the atmosphere classy and unpretentious. Although the menu consists of up to 8 course tasting menus - each course is of such quality that selecting 3 to cover your usually starter, main and dessert - will suffice. The service was exceptional and consistent although a few more English accents would have been more in keeping with the surroundings.

We really enjoyed the seasonal tasting menu and paired wine. Every course was delicious but we particularly enjoyed the asparagus starter; the sea bass and the lamb. The food and wine combinations really worked and we were introduced to some wines we would never have thought of trying. The service was informed, friendly and relaxed.

We had the seasonal tasting menu with matching wines. It would be impossible to say which course we enjoyed best because they were all so beautifully presented and delicious . The service was professional and caring. An excellent evening. We noted that fellow diners felt the same.

Good food little over priced limited menu

Not a great dining experience beginning with a limited menu choice, slow service, food portions which needed a magnifying glass (£14 for one scallop really ?)and a waiter that had the temerity to explain the delay in our food due to the chef not being happy with the dish, this was compounded by the table next to us receiving the same dish ten minutes later and before ours was served.
Dear oh dear I thought these pretentious restaurants had disappeared twenty years ago.

Do not let them seat you at the entrance close to the bar, when booking ask for inner rooms.
The food is fantastic but the service has been really slow (15/20 minutes between plates).
