Dined at 20.00, the atmosphere was excellent as usual. Great service and very friendly. Perfect location for an informal date or a group, with a nice relaxed bar for before or after the meal. Only down side would have been that i asked for my steak medium, and it was much nearer rare. However, it was still delicious!

Imagine what a non-cook kind of person would make with some overcooked penne pasta, a tiny amount of ropey salmon scraps, some broccoli, cherry tomatoes and a load of cream. Now imagine what a child create with those ingredients. What resulted of these was a bland, watery and soggy tasteless mess that I could make 100 times better in my own kitchen for about a tenth of the price. Restaurant ambiance nice enough though nothing special. Service good. Just avoid pasta dishes.

I had eaten at The olive Press two weeks previously and thought it a great place, so returned with my husband. On the two surveys I have completed, this one and the Olive Press' own, I have marked the service down. The staff were really friendly and enagaging - but the service was very slow and, although our table was for 8pm, we didn't sit down until 8.45pm. On my first visit, it took 20 minutes to be served at the bar as there was only one barman on a busy night. Great place, great food, great staff; need to reduce the delay at the bar, to get a table and arrival of food.
