Excellent food and service. Favourite is the Sunday lunch

  • ((((( 24 July 2017 by Alan from Wolverhampton

The pub was very clean typical of a Marstons Inn. The waitress was friendly and very obliging
Two of us had Sunday Lunch
The pork was hot, the vegetables cooked to perfection and the masked potatoes were creamy and well presented
The rosteria half chicken was plentiful and again well cooked served with rice and begs
The 20oz mixed grill consisting of lamb chops, gammon, steak, Cumberland sausage and baked tomato was almost too much to eat but it was so delicious I managed to clean my late
For sweet we had cheesecake with cream
Rubbarp pie with custard and an ice cream sundae
All were well presented good proportioned and delicious
With four coffees the bill was just over £60.00

    Will visit again

The service,, food and ambiance was excellent - thoroughly enjoyed the visit as did my husband and son and girlfriend.
Choice of menu very good and all dishes exceptionally well prepared. Very tasty.
Service was reasonable considering the number of people present.

Met up with some friends (midweek) where we were seated was quite busy & we did find it hard to hear each other as other customers were seated quite close & having there own conversation. We all ordered rotisserie chicken.Food arrived quickly & was cooked perfectly.Waitress was very polite.

Enjoyed meal out; pleasant decor, soft lighting, nice spaced out seating areas, friendly staff, meal arrived promptly and the food looked good. My family chose from the specials board and really enjoyed their meals. I did tell waitress that my steak was delicious but a bit gristley (after I had eaten meal) and she said would mention that to the chef. Would definitely eat here again.
