A beautiful 16th-century inn, Oddfellows Mellor is featured in the Michelin Guide, Good Pub Guide and CAMRA Pub Guide. This wonderfully cosy setting on the edge of the Peak District National Park features exposed wooden beams, rustic log burners, outdoor seating, and live acoustic music events.
Gourmet British recipes with modern twists are the backbone of the Oddfellows Mellor menu, and are all made using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. To start, there is Bury black pudding cake with poached egg and pepper sauce, while sharing platters include local ham, Littlewoods of Marple pork pies and beetroot slaw. Classics like beer battered haddock and chips sit alongside succulent 28-day-aged steaks, and there are also vegetarian options like celeriac and tarragon risotto, and vegan curry.
Puddings at Oddfellows Mellor in Stockport are an indulgent affair, with treats like dark chocolate fondant, and red wine poached pear served with brandy snap. The wine list includes bottles from around the world, and there are cask ales on tap at the bar.
A truly special rural pub filled with traditional comforts and gourmet flavours, Oddfellows Mellor is a 7-minute drive from Marple Rail Station.

Good service excellent food and pleasant surroundings. I'm a Yorkshireman and the fish and chips were the best I've tasted outside Yorkshire. Believe me that is a compliment

Three of us dined at the Oddfellows Mellor on Wednesday evening (23 November). Two of us ordered fish pie while the 3rd person ordered the plaice. The fish pies were delicious. The plaice was disappointing. The fish portion was minute and dry and the served without spinach as stated on the menu.

We took our 2 dogs for a walk first, inside the oddfellows is a leaflet with walks to follow, we then went for food after. We both had the Sunday roast beef. It was delicious, not over faced, the meat melted in our mouths, the gravy was tasty, good homemade Yorkshire puddings and nice selection of veg. I also had a starter of crayfish which was superb. Really tasty. We were only disappointed that we did not have enough room for dessert as the options looked amazing. We will be back to sample the dessert. The dogs enjoyed the biscuits. We found it to be cosy and really dog friendly which is great for us.
