Embodying Rainer’s commitment to precision, quality and consistency, flavour-rich dishes are served for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The lunch menu is specific to the East, offering a range of a la carte dishes as well as an accelerated 3-course weekday set lunch. For dinner, premium meat cuts on the Oblix East menu include Porterhouse to share, and free-range pork chop with bacon relish and rosemary oil, whilst Dover sole with parsley butter, barbecue black cod, and whole lobster are amongst the fresh seafood specialities.
The bar at Oblix East London serves a visionary cocktail menu, with creative mixes on hand to complement the food. Discover signature blends like Tanqueray gin with lavender and champagne, or vodka with lychee, bitters and egg whites. I had foreign guests visiting London for a special occasion. This was an important visit and I wanted to provide a memorable Saturday night dinner experience. Further to a recommendation by a close friend I booked a table for 4. I was impressed by the restaurant deco, the amazing views to the city of London and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, however, my guests did not enjoy the fairly loud background music and the general distracting, loud club-like atmosphere. The food took a while to arrive (my partner's hamburger arrived cold) and both while we wait but also by the time we got our meals on the table, conversation with our guests had been practically impossible as it felt that we had to constantly shout. Although I kind of enjoyed the restaurant, my guests did not find it very pleasant and told me so after we left. I was deeply disappointed as I really wanted to impress them but perhaps this Oblix East was a bad choice to have a quieter dinner to talk about business.

Staffs are very unwelcoming and cold. Communication was appalling. This ruined what was meant to be a lovely wedding anniversary date for my wife and I. Tea was not hot but warm. Tips was already added to the bill yet the staff who took payment was asking if I wanted to leave another. I think that was misleading. Overall, the only enjoyable part was the view.

Overall a lovely experience however we did have to wait more than half an hour for our table which wasn’t ideal given that the meal was a surprise for our sister. Not sure if the strategy is to make you wait so that you can purchase more drinks but the waitress should have said how long the wait would be.
We were also seated on the high table which wasn’t very comfortable
This is my 3rd visit to the Shard this year and can say that so far the service in Hutong was much superior

Service a bit slow, some drinks only appeared after a nudge to staff, but that said all staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable... Wonderful food! And obviously, absolutely incredible views... an unforgettable experience. Cocktails/Wines ruinously expensive but is a dining 'experience' and would not be something many people would do often.

Amazing views and live band was good, although these are the only positives I can say, we got seated at our table which was 2 metres from the live band on a sofa with a table infront of it, I spent my time here eating my food with my elbows rested on my knees not being able to have a conversation with my boyfriend as we were so close to the live music. Instead I spent the night drinking cocktails for £15, I had always wanted to eat here and was pretty disappointed, I enjoyed my food at the hard rock the next day much more. I would not recommend this restaurant, I didn't even stay for dessert. Food wasn't bad though, but not worth the price

Steak tartare and the halibut were amazing, although you pay for the location rather than the quality of the food. Great night time ambience.

Overall an enjoyable experience but the service was extremely slow with almost 1hr between 1st and 2nd course and we missed our intended train and very rushed at the emd with no time for coffee etc
I wanted to upgrade from prosecco to champagne and pay the difference but this was not permitted. I was surprised to asked to pay a gratuity when service at 13.5% had already been added to the bill.
