Restaurant description

Found on the west side of the 32nd floor of London’s skyline-dominating Shard building, Rainer Becker's Oblix offers his signature style of upscale, sophisticated, urban dining. A flash open kitchen, complete with mesmerising spit roast and sizzling charcoal grill, brings a touch of theatre to the clean-cut, minimalist dining room.

Alongside succulent meats from the rotisserie and supremely fresh seafood dishes, the Oblix menu features a range of luxury meat cuts finished on the josper grill. Enjoy dishes like lamb chops with harissa and yoghurt, grilled Dover sole with parsley butter or Porterhouse steak to share. Diners can be directed through the staggering wine list at the interactive sommelier station: the first of its kind in London. Choose from cherry-picked international bottles, and peruse some of the world’s most-prized vintages.

Afternoon tea at Oblix West pays homage to the capital, blending ingredients sourced from favourite local purveyors found throughout London. The super-slick bar at Oblix in London offers a more relaxed vibe, with guests treated to express deli options and decadent weekend brunches, while a visionary cocktail menu offers mixes designed to match the food.

In one of London’s most sought-after settings, Oblix West at The Shard is a 3-minute walk from London Bridge stations.

Oblix operates a smart dress code. Gym trainers, running shoes, flip flops, sports wear, and baseball caps are not allowed. Please note any decision regarding the suitability of a guest's appearance will be entirely at the discretion of the management.

Regretfully, Oblix West is not able to take requests for window tables. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted in Oblix East after 6pm.

If you have any allergy or dietary requirements, please contact our reservations team at least 24 hours prior to your afternoon tea booking.

We found the restaurant to be extremely professional, our waiter was exceptional and we couldn’t fault him unfortunately can’t remember his name. He had so much passion for food and explained it all fully. When we ordered our meals the dishes we chosen we absolutely beautiful. The pork was cooked perfectly. Hats off to the chef. And the little birthday extra was really surprising and lovely. It made a beautiful day out for my entire family, thank you so much would recommend this restaurant. Much respect from the Foster family.

A really excellent three course lunch, including wine, for £36 per head. Fabulous views over London! Great, attentive but never overbearing service! What’s not to like?!!! We’ll be going again!!

Very impressed with the whole dining experience, from entering the building to leaving it. Staff very helpful. It was strange eating there. Years ago the site was known as Southwark Towers. My dining companion and I both worked there for years. At one point we worked on the 26th floor. I must say the view from the 32nd was impressive. Shame about the rain and mist. We will certainly be eating there again. Great selection on the menu.

Thank you very much for your incredible service,we had a wonderful time, it was my wife and fathers birthday celebrations. your staff put themselves out to give us all a day to remember the food was superb, and the waitress was very helpful and even put a candle on my wife and father’s pudding plate, such a lovely personal touch, the table that you seated us at had incredible views across London we were all taken back by them, Your toilets were very clean and we all complimented the condition of them, I can honestly say your restaurant was by far the best place I have ever dinned in

We ran half an hour late because we thought our booking was at 1:30 rathe than 1 but they were so helpful and gave us a perfect window seat despite our late arrival! The food was fantastic and we were served very promptly. Very good value for money on the set lunch menu for £36. The view was exquisite! Overall a great experience and will be dining here again.

Took my mum for lunch and what a fantastic experience. The view is outstanding and we were lucky that it was a clear day. On our arrival we where met by friendly staff who took our coats and directed as to the bar for drinks. (as we were a little earlier) We were fortunate to get a window seat to enjoy the views of the city below and our cocktails. When our table was ready they took as through to our table. We went for the set lunch menu and the food was scrumptious. i had the grilled mackerel and fennel could not fault it. mum and hubby had burrata, datterini tomatoes and sour dough(such a creamy cheese) we all opted for the crispy suckling pig... wow just wow will go back for that alone. desserts came in the form of treacle tart and ginger ice cream (yummy) chocolate brownie sundae. We could not find fault with our visit. will definitely return

I booked Oblix west for a “birthday treat” For my husband and it most certainly was a real treat - Fantastic venue / really welcoming and attentive staff and delicious food - it is expensive / some dishes extremely expensive so maybe good to have a few more on the normal price range but it still was an all round great evening Thank you
