It was raining so we sat inside. The restaurant is small and cozy, lots of light. We ordered the rooibos tea and everything in the afternoon tea menu was delicious. Service was good, waiter was polite and curteous. We never felt rushed, and we had a lovely time in Number sixteen.

Afternoon Tea at Number Sixteen hotel is an elegant and luxurious affair. With the option to take tea in any of the public spaces, from the library to the tree-filled hotel garden, there is a setting for every weather and occasion.
The Number Sixteen menu covers classic afternoon tea with the usual sandwiches and scones on offer, as well as some lesser-seen creations, such as arancini, accompanied by sweet options such as Bakewell tart. A lighter option on offer is the ‘fruit tea’, which consists of 5 plates of colourful treats themed around blueberries, orange, lime zest and honey. A gluten-free tea is available on request.
The stunning landscaped garden offers a blissful escape from the bustle of London, whilst the colourful drawing room full of modern, decorative art and bright pink fabrics, is a funky, laidback setting. The cosy library and light-flooded conservatory are also open for afternoon tea at Number 16 in London.

This was such a wonderful and beautiful spot for an afternoon tea in London. The lush, serene garden setting in the gazebo was stellar and the food was top notch. We were treated with great attentive staff who knew the perfect balance of waiting on us and letting us enjoy our experience. It was amazing!! Seriously a perfect experience. I loved it so much. It was my second time having afternoon tea in London and I love this so much more than my first. Anyone traveling to London should have afternoon tea and this is definitely the place to do it. We had our tea out in the garden it was beautiful! The garden is the best feature. Food-wise we had the afternoon tea set, all of it was delicious. The service was a nice relaxing pace, I never felt rushed nor forgotten about.

High tea at Number sixteen was a delight. A lovely selection of teas and finger food presented elegantly in a pretty garden retreat setting. Favourite dishes were the soft melt in your mouth chocolate brownies, lemon tarts and the scones, jam and clotted cream. The staff were friendly and happy to make it a wonderful experience.

My experience at Number Sixteen was great! The garden was picturesque and made for the ideal background for afternoon tea. The food was tasty and surprisingly filling. I especially loved the scones and the generous helping of clotted cream. For any visitor to London, I would definitely suggest a trip to Number Sixteen!

Enjoyed afternoon tea in Sun June 3rd with 4 family members. It was delightful to be able to sit outside in the private garden. There was just the right amount of food inc 2 scones each & extra cream & jam if reqd - which we did! Staff were friendly, attentive & accommodated all our needs including one with nut allergy. Price was so reasonable. Highly recommend this hotel & this chain of hotels

We had an afternoon tea in the garden on a hot day. Really nice and intimate atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service minus 'snobby' feeling.
P.s. The scones were superb!
