Celebrating husbands birthday and staying at the hotel. Food was beautiful and staff were really attentive. Great menu suggestions from our server - they were perfect recommendations! Nice atmosphere and great river side view as requested when we made the booking. Will definitely be back soon.

A stylish, modern brasserie in the heart of Belfast, Novelli at City Quays is a refined choice for French and Mediterranean dining. Afternoon teas are also served, and the al fresco terrace is a great choice for when the sun's shining.

The Novelli at City Quays menu offers a diverse taste of the Mediterranean, and includes a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. There are light starters of local seared scallop with cured salmon belly and parsley root, moving on to succulent choices from the rotisserie like rosemary lamb rump, and roasted chicken. Prix fixe menus are a popular choice for quick meals, and there are dedicated children's dishes on offer as well.

Afternoon teas at Novelli at City Quays in Belfast are filled with beautifully crafted cakes, pastries and sweets, while the savoury options include tastes of the local area, such as smoked Irish salmon, and Kilkenny roast ham.

Beautiful meal. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Novelli at City Quays on Sunday night, the restaurant itself is gorgeous and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Staff are all very nice and nothing is too much trouble. The food was absolutely beautiful, you pay for the quality. We both had steaks which are slightly expensive however the cuts of meat were completely worth it, nothing left on our plates. We will definitely be back!

I love Novelli's- staff are well trained and attentive. The food is always outstanding- the desserts on this occasion were particularly fab. We had The tarte tatin and the 'Jack in the box'. My only complaint is the restaurant was too cold- doors were open and it was pouring with rain outside with a draft blowing in.

To celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary we decided to try out Novellis and we were definitely not disappointed. A relaxed casual atmosphere with attentive service and a mouthwatering menu greeted us as we were seated at our table. From the restaurant there was a spectacular view of the Belfast waterfront.
We both chose the scallop starter which was generous and cooked to perfection. For mains I went for the cod while my husband plumped for the fish of the day, salmon. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. I was really looking forward to dessert, as for me this is always the best part of the meal. My server recommended the signature tarte tatin with bourbon ice cream so I decided to go with that.
As it is cooked to order I had a 20 minute wait but this was no issue and was certainly worth the wait. Crispy, chewy and the ice cream was sublime.
We thought it was a particularly nice touch when our server brought us out a plate of handmade petite four biscuits and strawberries with Happy 20th Anniversary written on the plate with chocolate. It finished the evening off perfectly. We would highly recommended dining here and will return soon.

The food was good. It felt like a hotel restaurant and wasn’t quite what I expected.

The food was excellent, the setting overlooking the river was nice, but the service was poor.

    Dear Sir/ Madam

Just a short note to make comment on Sunday Lunch today Sunday June 9 th

I found the quality of service , quantity and quality of food below the standard I have received before and was rather embarrassed as I had booked this lunch for my Mother and Siblings who where visiting.

Yes, the starters both hot and cold where excellent. All good.

Service was slow, confused and seemed to be under poor supervision

Portions and quality very small, maybe this was due to many people using vouchers therefore resulting in a needed reduction of protein, vegetables and potatoes.

Desserts cold, and not as described on the limited menu..

Staff had all been very pleasant but there seemed no direction.

Maybe the chairs could be re covered ...looking very tired

    Yours
