No.77 in Cambridgeshire brings authentic Thai food to a quirky village pub. Decorated with upcycled vintage furniture, sparkling chandeliers and unusual wall hangings, No.77 in Caxton is a gastropub with style.

The menu at No.77 is brimming with fresh, aromatic Thai flavours. Thai curry, stir fry and noodle dishes dominate, including sea bass fillet with chili, basil, garlic and sticky rice, and pad Thai with roasted chili and peanuts.

Little ones aren’t left out, with a ‘Tiny Thai’ menu serving child-friendly portions of staple dishes, including sweet and sour chicken with rice or crispy noodles with Thai-style gravy and seasonal vegetables. The cosy bar also boasts a range of signature cocktails, local and world beers and quality wines.

Blending quality Asian food with unique décor, No.77 still retains the charm of a traditional village pub. In the Cambridgeshire village of Caxton, it is a 25-minute drive from Cambridge city centre.

I have visited twice in the past 2 weeks whilst the food is delicious even mid week it’s very noisy also on my last visit the waitress forgot our drinks so said they would be ok the house but when the drinks arrived they weren’t what we ordered but we didn’t say anything as it was busy, we still enjoyed our food and our visit thank you

This restaurant does not look overly enticing from the outside due to it's dark blue colouring. However, it serves wonderful Thai food and is always busy. Service was speedy and friendly.

The tapas was terrible - to be clear the normal Thai food / chefs are great, and this refers only to the popup tapas restaurant in February - the food was very bland, with the exception of the pulled pork; which tastes so strongly of raw garlic that we left it largely uneaten and left quickly. Our starters arrived after our mains; both were tepid, with the exception again of the pulled pork, which was inconsistent in temperature with some hot spots while the rest was tepid, ashough it had been microwaved.

The flat bread, corn chips, and hummus were all excessively oily with little other flavour.

Despite pointing this out, along with the visible chunks of raw garlic in the pulled pork; we were not offered any kind of discount on the bill.

All in all, a very disappointing experience.

    Great food, lovely staff.

Beautifully decorated. Great staff. Starters (mixed and the beef salad) where excellent. Noodle choice was really tasty. Red curry was nothing special. Jungle curry was more of a soup and quite disappointing. Service excellent. The music was a bit loud for conversation.
