We arrived at No.34, for a family meal for 3 persons.
The restaurant is located in the Orchid Hotel, in Bournemouth.
We were greeted by a friendly and cheerful receptionist who promptly showed us to our table.
It was our first time attending this restaurant. It appeared of medium size but was not full.
Nicely lit with attractive table lamps.
We did not have to wait very long for service. The food was delicious with good portion sizes.
We stayed for dessert. I had an apple tart tatin, the pastry could be crisper, still pleasant to eat.
My companions had the cheesecake, which looked a lot more impressive,
All in all, a very pleasant meal

A little disappointing!! Started well with first courses but then the mains were a let down!! Had the duck, was warned it would be served pink, which I would have expected, but it ended up being rather grey & obviously over cooked, had to use a steak knife to cut it as it was so tough! Then we come to dessert, one person had cheesecake which looked industrial and tasted very bland. Needless to say won't returnable!!
