A wine bar and charcoal grill in trendy Brixton, Naughty Piglets comes from husband and wife team (also resident sommelier and chef), Margaux Aubry and Joe Sharratt. Lengthy praise from a host of newspaper critics includes an impressive 4-star review from Fay Maschler.

Led by the best available produce and changing on a regular basis, the Naughty Piglets menu features a selective range of moreish sharing plates. Flavours might include creamy burrata with cherry tomatoes and basil, Sri Lankan quail with coriander and carrots, or monkfish with butter sauce and girolles.     Small restaurant opposite Hootanany, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. The food is all sharing plates and all the dishes we chose were exceptional. The duck and beef short ribs were my personal favourites. Extensive French wine list, though the majority of it is quite pricey, having said that the house red was lovely and good value for money. Overall an excellent experience and I'd definitely go back.

    Absolutely delicious food! Good service and nice atmosphere. It is on the pricey side though and is difficult to find a choice of wines under £30.

    A little gem of a restaurant. I am not from Brixton but had heard good things about this place from a friend and certainly wasn't disappointed.

    We sat at the bar which had a relaxed atmosphere but good, attentive service. The minor details were all there - the restaurant manager was accommodating of our slightly early arrival, offered to take coats and jackets, and there was regular refilling of tap water jugs and wine throughout the evening.

    On the recommendation of our waitress, we had five sharing plates to start with and all were excellent. The highlight was the beef rump with girolles and hispi cabbage. But we were both also impressed with the other courses of confit duck in a crispy shell, chargrilled mackerel with horseradish, burrata and beetroot, and ham croquettes. All washed down with a very drinkable carafe of wine - not particularly cheap but the quality compensated for this.

    Really enjoyed the sharing plates experience and were even tempted by a treacle tart to share with dessert wine at the end of the meal.

    All in all a very enjoyable evening and relatively well priced for what was very high quality food and drink - just over £95 all in for 6 plates, a carafe of wine, water and dessert wine. Will definitely try and come back again.

    Stunning combinations of ingredients intelligently chosen and presented.
    Precision cooking but the passion shines through.
    The ham and cheese croquettes deliver beyond their prosaic label.
    The crab and peanut sauce dish is a reliable winner but the monkfish was the most impressive thing we had, meaty, juicy and cooked to perfection.
    The wine which was chosen for us was really superb a red from the Loire Valley which developed in complexity in the time after it was opened and complemented the meal perfectly.
    Once again an experience to remember.

    We decided not to eat since we were unable to move, having asked at the bar to get away from the congested and cold door. Seating at this end of the bar is not well thought out and therefore should not be an option

    Naughty piglets is a triumph. We tried every fish and veggie dish they had and they were exciting, perfectly balanced and well portioned. We have just moved into the area so will be back again and again to this absolute gem of a restaurant. You have to try this place.

    Naughty Piglets was fantastic - easily the best meal I’ve had all year. Gorgeous cosy little restaurant - the food was delightful and unusual, staff were so friendly (it really felt like a family run restaurant) and the wine list hugely extensive. Can’t wait to go back!

    Another excellent evening at Naughty Piglets . Loved both familiar dishes and some new ones , the great simplicity of radishes with seaweed mayonnaise and the clever pairing of burrata with seasonal pumpkin. As ever the service from Paul & the warm welcome from Joe enhanced our visit.
