Praised by top critics including Jay Rayner and Grace Dent, Native in Neal’s Yard pairs innovative cooking techniques with a passion for produce, creating a menu of flavour-rich, seasonal dishes. Served in charmingly laidback surrounds, dishes are packed with the country's best wild food that is native to the UK.

From a River Cottage-trained chef, the Native menu showcases natural, foraged and seasonal ingredients. Dishes evolve with the seasons, but starters may include the likes of wild rabbit and prune pastilla with pickled walnut salad, or smoked pollock croquettes with lovage mayo. For mains, discover dishes like venison rack with spiced cabbage and pommes boulangeres, or flame-grilled clams with ham hock broth and homemade sourdough.

Desserts at Native Covent Garden are no less inventive. Joining a classic English cheese board are twists on favourites, such as pain perdu with basil and lemon curd ice cream.

Tucked away in Neal’s Yard, Native restaurant in London is a 3-minute walk from Covent Garden Tube Station.

The cuisine concept is unique and well executed but the level of service (or lack there of) was disappointing. The staff is in desperate need of basic restaurant service training.

Tasty food but small portions. Petit fours / small deserts were very expensive for what they were. Pleasant service but restaurant cheaply fitted out.

Very cozy little restaurant. We had one of the tables overlooking the open kitchen, loved seeing how dedicated the chefs were in their work. Had such a lovely experience, the presentation, flavors as well as the freshness of the ingredients, all at such a reasonable price! Definitely come back.

Excellent food & service and would book again. Small and intimate restaurant with a unique approach. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic. Place we went before recently was bibendum and the food at native more than matched that for presentation and surpassed it in terms of flavour.

    Amazing value
Service very friendly but could be sharpened up a little :)

We had a wonderful evening. It was my second visit and it was even better than I remembered. The food is innovative and perfectly presented but without being too showy or confused by too many flavours. The white chocolate and bone marrow petite four was so delicious that i have found myself thinking about it on multiple occasions today. To add to the excellent food, which is obviously the primary reason to visit, the staff are so lovely. As someone who is normally not a huge fan of the frequent, forced interactions with waiters/waitresses (that seem to be becoming more frequent as everything is Americanised) I was completely charmed by our waitress who was just a ray of sunshine on a Wednesday evening and really made the evening even better. Thanks all!

Absolutely outstanding experience. Great little place, friendly staff, superb food and drink, and really reasonable prices for the quality. We spent £60 a head for an absolute blowout - every course and drink option included!
