Really excellent food, very creative and full of taste and texture. Favourite dish for me was the wild mallard. And their minimal waste philosophy is very good.

Praised by top critics including Jay Rayner and Grace Dent, Native in London Bridge pairs innovative cooking techniques with a passion for produce, creating a menu of flavour-rich, seasonal dishes. Served in charmingly laidback surrounds, dishes are packed with the country's best wild food that is native to the UK.

From a River Cottage-trained chef, the Native menu showcases natural, foraged and seasonal ingredients. Dishes evolve with the seasons, but starters may include the likes of wild rabbit and prune pastilla with pickled walnut salad, or smoked pollock croquettes with lovage mayo. For mains, discover dishes like venison rack with spiced cabbage and pommes boulangeres, or flame-grilled clams with ham hock broth and homemade sourdough.

Desserts at Native are no less inventive. Joining a classic English cheese board are twists on favourites, such as pain perdu with basil and lemon curd ice cream.

Native restaurant in London is a 2-minute walk from London Bridge Station.

Food was all delicious and looked amazing. Favourites were the wood pigeon and cod dish with fennel for main and the seed cake and cider ice cream was the star of the show. Service was friendly and relaxed. Thoughly enjoyed.

It’s hard to rate this place - the food was absolutely delicious, but the portions were really tiny. I’m not a big eater, but they were a smidge too small, and there was no option to add sides or extras to bulk it out. But what we ate was really delicious.
The service was really slow - we were waiting an awful long time between courses, or if we wanted another drink we had to get up to flag a waiter - there were lots of waiters, but they weren’t really efficient. But again, when they did come over, they were friendly and knowledgable.
I suppose, don’t go hungry or in a rush and you’ll have a lovely time! Also, take a jumper! Brrr.

The food was excellent, offering exciting new tastes and combinations. All were beautifully presented but not over the top. We were very well looked after as one of the party could not have dairy products and was given 'be spoke' dishes which she said were delicious. So thank you. Being over 50 (in age) we found the restaurant on the noisy side but otherwise we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Perhaps what prompted a lot of discussion was the real focus of the restaurant as the menu did not always explain the rational of the choice of the ingredients - but that would mean a mini brochure!
Thank you for a great evening -

Fabulous food. 2 people for the lunchtime offer. Restaurant is a stones throw from Borough Market but still a little tucked away. Was a Tuesday lunchtime so fairly quiet.
Waiter was lovely, very well informed about the food. So to the food. Starters I had the pigeon with cherries which was outstanding, friend had the mackerel and was equally impressed. For mains I had the veggie option, I am not a vegetarian but OMG it was one of the very best dishes I have ever tasted, roasted carrots- texture, taste, appearance all 10/.10 and surprisingly filling. Friend had the cod also impressed. Desert was great.
If I had to be picky, the wine list was a bit limited but that is all.
Would go there again in a heartbeat ( score for ambience is only because it was very quiet)

Food was excellent, all very well cooked, very well presented, and also represents great value for money. Zero waste snacks is great idea and very well executed.
Winelist could be improved, but I was pleasantly surprised by the English Red.
Dessert was good, but not at the same level as rest of the meal.
    Good friendly service.

Came here for 1 year anniversary with gf. Had the snacks and 3 course menu with 2 additional dessert nibbles. Game meats are in we were informed at the start of the meal so I went for the pigeon starter and grouse main. Both were delicious. Tried the English red wine which went really well with the gamey meats. Nice and intimate fine dining at a reasonable price (£160 total). Highly recommend!
