From husband and wife restaurateurs Lawrence and Emily Hartley, Le Petit Citron is a delightful French bistro serving Provençal-style cooking in the heart of leafy Brook Green in Hammersmith. Simple, authentic flavours from this much-loved French region are complemented by an impressive wine selection and a list of classic French cocktails.

The Le Petit Citron menu is inspired by life in Provence, and include entrées such as petit pot de girolles and woodland mushrooms, Coquilles Saint-Jacques with pomme purée and vermouth, and Rustic Mediterranean fish soup with gruyère and rouille. Mains include crowd pleasers like onglet steak frites with a pastis, garlic and herb butter; lemon and garlic poussin with French beans, persillade and pine nuts; and aubergine, red pepper, lentil and walnut ragout.

Weekends at Le Petit Citron are just as exciting. The brunch menu includes freshly baked pastries and preserves, as well as comforting dishes of Les Gauffres with maple syrup and cinnamon sugar. An informal space where guests can come for everything from quick midweek lunches to relaxed dinners and leisurely weekend brunch, Le Petit Citron is a true neighbourhood restaurant.

Le Petit Citron is a 10-minute walk from Hammersmith Station, a 10-minute walk from Shepherds Bush Station, and a 5-minute walk from Goldhawk Road Station.

the location is not the prettiest part of london but the restaurant is quite large and really nicely decorated. very light and authentic bistro feel. The staff are really friendly and efficient. We had the steak and ordered some gratin deauphenois potato side which was all delicious. great venue for lunch especially if going to west fields shopping centre. recommended!

Brook Green is a reasonable walk from Hammersmith but it is worth it for this local gem. We were a party of 5 for Father's Day brunch and we had a lovely relaxed meal. The food is good bistro fare with interesting twists plus a short but well varied wine list. If you want jus, foam or flowers on your food go elsewhere but for good value honest cooking using carefully selected ingredients try Mustard.

On a wet, cold day I had lunch here with a friend who needed cheering up because her husband is ill in hospital. Mustard did just that. The welcome is warm and the service charming. Uncomplicated food is cooked well and served promptly. From our cozy, table by the window we could observe the rain and wind and be very glad we in Mustard.

Mustard never fails to give a great experience, varied menu & slightly different, well presented food - mine was good, but my friends chose even better! GF bread available, big plus.
