The Muckrach House Hotel is the most amazing location and well worth a visit. Fabulous dining room overlooking the grounds. We went for the Sunday lunch which was superb. Only a couple of gripes, there was no water offered at the table and on previous visits there was bread with butter at the table. There was a plate with a knife but nothing was forthcoming. The meals were very good indeed. It’s a really nice place and we’d definitely go back again.

The restful lounges to sit with family and friends before and after meals.
The friendly staff and overall atmosphere was first class

The chef and serving staff were charming and very helpful; combining friendliness with the sort of professional service you would expect of a hotel of this standard. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The surroundings and ambiance welcoming and very comfortable. My only comment would be that the background music was too loud given that there was a fairly full restaurant - I dined with an elderly female guest and she had difficulty hearing what I said. I know that my husband would have the same problem. Otherwise I would most definitely return - and I will anyway in the hopes that you have turned the music down!.

Excellent dinner with a wide variety of choices. Staff very well trained but still pleasant and chatty

Pretty good, felt it was not quite as high a standard as on the previous visits we have made. For example, although my recollection may be wrong, I don't recall being charged (£4.50) for the bread, which instead of being brought straightaway, was served with the starters. Felt the food just didn't match ones we had enjoyed earlier. Little thing - we weren't offered the usual accompaniments like horseradish sauce for the roast beef, or apple sauce for the pork. Little things, but you do notice them.

The food was absolutely fantastic could not fault it at all!
However the service could be better, the waiters were polite and friendly but could do with more training. For example, we needed more drinks but no one asked if we would like another, we had to ask the waiter when he took our main courses out. He then left the empty glasses on the table for the rest of our meal. I also asked the waiter for a side order which never came, I think he mustn’t have heard me, but these things happen. Overall, it was a lovely experience but could be better with more staff training.
