Excellent food and service. Great value festive menu.

Four out of our party of five had the beef cheeks and one had the hake. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. I was a little bit disappointed with my dessert but that was due to taste and nothing to do with the restaurant. The lighting was a little bright and the music a little loud at some points during the evening but it didn’t spoil our experience. We would recommend this restaurant to our friends

I have already emailed Mr Cooper's, as has my friend, who was with me at Mr Cooper's last week. We have yet to receive the courtesy of a reply. We have both complained about the standard of the food and also the poor service we received. We have always loved dining here but last week was a major let-down. We had ordered the festive menu and two of us had turkey. My friend doesn't eat pork and was put out to find that the stuffing, described as apricot, was actually a lump of sausage meat. Maybe there was some apricot in it but it wasn't apparent. Also there were pigs in blankets which were not mentioned on the menu. We mentioned this to the waitress who was off-hand to the point of rudeness. Unfortunately her attitude deteriorated over the course of the meal to the point where she virtually threw the dessert menu at us. There is undoubtedly a staff training issue here which you need to address. Apart from this the turkey was very poor - dry, overcooked, appeared to have been waiting around. Also the brussel sprouts were undercooked bullets. I don't think we will be eating there again anytime soon, especially since no-one has made an effort to contact us or address the issues we raised.

Excellent food, service a little slow.

Breakfast was spectacular and service attentive. We had a limited dinner menu due to our booking package which was a shame but that what we did have was served quickly and tasted really good. I would gladly return and would recommend.

The most fabulous night out, the cocktails, the quality of the food and most of all the service, what more could anybody ask for.

Food was good, the service was very poor. I did explain to the gentleman trying to look after us in the restaurant. He acknowledged it was poor and admitted he is having to coach new staff members and can’t do his job properly. I also fed this back on check out, but the girl didn’t seem interested. If it were my business, I would want to know.

We very much enjoy the ambience at Mr Coopers. It is quiet and relaxed and the perfect place for a dinner before a concert or the theatre. One suggestion for improvement; because of the high ceilings in the room, lighting at table level can be poor and a little unwelcoming. This could readily be remedied with candles or some other form of point lighting on or near the tables.

Lunch at Mr Coopers was very good...the sea bream was exquisite...I would highly recommend the food..and the service....the environment lacked a convivial atmosphere... it was rather dark and the menu type was extremely small to read...we managed. Sorry for being negative but the food and service was so good but the restaurant looked dated ...and I’m sure with a little creativity and imagination a contemporary environment with a traditional twist could be achieved.
