We found your restaurant to be nice and cosy with plenty of space at the table. It was also nice to see you have kept some of the old architecture. As for the meal it was cooked well and presented nicely.

We stayed at the Hotel and had something to eat. The hotel is amazing in a great location and All the staff were fantastic. The hotel looked a bit tired in places and just needs a bit of tlc. Some painting issues and grouting and the bed was two singles pushed together & the duvet cover was holy. The food was lovely but for my dish I was disappointed with the one prawn and no cod I got on my skewer was gone in one bite £8 for it was too steep. Mt partner enjoyed his burger and his chips were amazing.

The restaurant is very close to where I now live so very convenient for me. This was my first visit and although it was quiet it was a very enjoyable experience. Firstly the tables are in booths so privacy is great, however they are rather large so you can end up sat fairly far apart! We moved so a smaller one and it was great. Music is background and just right for chatting. Decor is lovely. The food was excellent, clearly a great chef. The waitress was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. The food is fair to high on price but the quality was good so I guess you get what you pay for.

Afternoon tea - sandwiches and cakes were great. Scones were pre-packed type and not very good. Setting was lovely. Service average - it felt like they just weren’t ready for us even though we booked weeks in advance and only three of us. Restaurant was very very cold apparently due to problem with the boiler. Overall very good value for money.

We went for lunch, but the lunch menu was not available, just sandwiches. The "Brie" sandwich was unpalatable, cheese like rubber and flavourless. The club sandwich came without the egg that should have been in it. The bread had been toasted in such a way it was like ryvita around the edges and the chicken was cremated. We were told some pony about the chef not turning up. They gave us a free drink but really it did not make up for the fact the advertised menu was not available and the food which did come was poor. Also it took an hour for the food to come. An hour to make a sandwich even if the chef wasn't there is ages.

The food was enjoyable and hot, the waitress was friendly and helpful. We have already booked Christmas Day dinner with my family in the restaurant.
